Biggest game in my lifetime for a league campaign.

We are in the CL next year (as good as). No one expected us to be here in April. I couldn't be happier with the team. How BR tweaks it with the use of Sterling/Coutinho/Allen/Lucas is a detail. We need to be on song, playing like we want to destroy them and I am sure we will get the result. I feel a Gerrard piledriver, harder than the one against Olympliacos in 2005, is going to decide it. Pellegrini will get the sack after the game.

The Chelsea game will be the decider. Suarez with a ghost goal, Mourinho in jail for assault adn Abramovich captured by former KGB agents 'who want their dough'. Beginning a glorious reign of red domination where Sir Alex gets live long enough to see us win our tenth CL and Stevie G leads an army against the oppressors and free's the world from tyranny.

WE mustn't get ahead of ourselves though. Got to win on Sunday first.

Been in there what a horrible horrible bunch they are.

I hope we seriously tw*t them. They show no respect or regard for the 96 first and foremost, they are in serious denial about their status in the league and how they came about. The arrogance of some of these tw*ts is unbearable this was a club that played in the championship 12 years ago, who's fans think its their given right to stroll through the league collecting titles.

Makes you laugh really calling on passion, hunger and desire from their players a bunch of mercenaries brought together only a few years ago.

      Disrespectful Johnny-come-lately fuckers.
I've never minded Citeh fans before now as well.
36 pages I think it sits at now, shows you how petrified they are of us.
Think Daniel Sturridge will have a big say in this one. He got a bad press for leaving them, think it still rankles with him the way he was squeezed out by the oil money.
We are Liverpool, we're not defined by oil fields in Saudi Arabia. Let's put this small time club in its place.

Aguero will start for them, and that means Navas will be on the bench, with Nasri-Kun-Silva behind Dzeko. That might actually play into our hands as both of them will always look to cut in rather than hugging the touchline. Silva on the right vs Flanagan would be a fantastic battle if our lad can handle the Spaniard's subtle twists and turns.

After an hour, Navas might come in for Nasri and Negredo for Dzeko, making them a proper 4-4-2, that's when we need to sustain our tempo and soak up the pressure. All that after a damn good start, of course..

I'm going for a 4-2-3-1 simply to match the monsters in Fernandinho and Toure

Don't think I'd start Lucas for this, after a decent half against West Ham. Rodgers stated Allen was supposed to start prior to the WH game and I'd have him (Allen) ahead of Lucas for the Citeh game too. I don't (sincerely) believe Lucas looked that comfortable on the right hand side of the diamond, even though he coped. As we're constantly reminded: Lucas, his position and his abilities are very "specialised" for the DM role which suits him and the team better. I think Allen, will slot in more naturally there and give the team more fluency, plus he has the mobility to press and engage the opposition for long periods.

The team have been rolling for a while now with a preferably and stable eleven; one of the things I think has been key to our success recently.

Take the game to them - it's what we do best, use the players who are on form and have got us to where we are, let them worry about us.

      -------------------------- Mignolet

      ---------- Johnson-----Skertel----Sahko------Flanno

                                           Gerrard

                            Henderson-----------Sterling

                                          Coutinho
      ------------
      ------------------ Sturridge-------Suarez

      OR

      -------------------- Mig

      ----Johnson---Skertel--Sahko---Flanno

                               Gerrard

                 Henderson             Allen

                               Sterling

                     Sturridge-----Suarez

I'd probably opt for the second team in all honesty.

Agger/Sahko - that's a tricky one to. I've picked Sahko merely because I know he's currently available and was able to put in a beast of a performance, however, an opposition like Citeh may suit Agger's game to.

This game is fundamentally the title decider in my opinion. I am so looking forward to this one more than I was the Hammers game.

Pelligrini has said he's keeping Aguero fresh to unleash on us. Let him because he won't be match fit.

I thought our defence was good yesterday and hope they can excel against shitty.

I have a good feeling about this game. We are at Anfield and the away fans won't know what's hit them with the volume from our fans

Will be an emotional game too with Hillsborough anniversary around the corner.

Come on lads. Get the points. Make us dream. YNWA

No. I think he's safe now. The deadline was either the 8th or 10th.  The city game is after that so he starts again (I think).  He's one hell of a player for not putting himself in the position to get booked. Captain fantastic. YNWA

It doesn't really work that way with Aguero in my opinion. Last time he came back from injury he played like a beast and there were no signs of lack of match fitness whatsoever.

Hope it's different this time mate. He worries me when he plays well. He's exceptional. Hope our defence can deal with him.

      City fans crack me up.

In the last 6 years they've spent half a billion quid on players, gone through 4 different managers, been given a brand new stadium that they can't fill yet are extending it, can call on unlimited funds without facing ffp penalties and have only 2 trophies to show for it.  :lmao:

Anyway back to us and our game against them this weekend, I'm not worried in the slightest.  They're nothing special, just a bunch of mercenaries out for themselves not the team.  They have no honour, no grace or respect and we are going to give them a footballing lesson.

      Can't wait  ;D

And he also got injured a couple of games later because they rushed him back. They're about to rush him back this time too and it won't work in their favour.

Can't F***ing wait for this game, so wish I was going. Will be watching it in the pub I play Sunday league football for and it'll be full of City fans - bliss ;D 2-1 victory to the red men!

Think we will start with: Mignolet; Johnson-Skrtel-Sakho-Flanagan; Gerrard-Henderson-Allen; Sterling; Suarez-Sturridge

He's under threat until the 2nd Sunday in April, which is the Man City game.

Same formation as in all our big games - with a few tweaks at the front. I think Demichelis will obviously be targeted so maybe Sturridge through the middle. Work rates of Sterling and Suarez to try to limit Zaba and Clichy going forward.

They've got the blueshite over there saying they would rather sacrifice a CL place, if it meant seeing us not win the title. Bitter.
