      Hearing news that he has lost his battle with cancer . Puts football and all the theatrics to shame when you think just over a year ago he was managing Barcelona

      This is gut wrenching news. Heard last night he was in hospital after taking a turn for the worse but it's still horrible to hear. One of the architects of that great Barcelona side. What an influence he left.

      Terrible news, feel so awful for his family and friends, my condolences.

      Cancer is so disgusting and terrible and I would never ever wish it to anyone even to my enemies

      Shocking for anyone to die so young, 45 is no age at all.

      One of the finest coaching/managing pairings in recent history at Barcelona, he'll be sorely missed by all he was connected with.
