Johnson- has played his last match for us IMO. I can't justify his wages anymore.
      Moses- poor poor poor.
      Cissokko- not good enough.
Lucas- I think we can get better.  :couch:
Aspas- Not the standard we need.
Pepe- Not part of Brendan's plans.
Assaidi- can't see BR bringing him back.
Toure- Good start, faded badly, not the player he was.

      Right back
      Left back
      Goalkeeper
Central Midfielder with the energy to press and can contribute both ends of the pitch.
No 10, don't think we've seen enough goals from that position
Someone who can play out on the left/right in attack
      Suso
      Borini
      Illori

Out: Don't think we need to do too much here

      Kolo
      Cissokho
      Lucas
      Assaidi
      Moses
      Aspas
      Reina
      Potentially Johnson

Don't think we need to change too much it's about getting players in and adding some quality into the first 11 and building more competition, despite how good we've been we've had some players who've offered nothing. My outs are players who've contributed very little to our season even when they've had the chance, don't see them sticking around.

After that you start to take away from squad depth with the likes of Toure etc. He may have some calamities but he's an experienced defender to fill in and play those early round cup games.

      IN

Decent replacements for all the above plus another quality CB. With Suso and Ilori coming back off loan that should give us a healthier looking squad. Don't need to spend massively if we can get decent returns on what we sell.

Have to say, now that someone's mentioned Kolo, I'm surprised he wasn't used more, or at all, during the last half a dozen games. Old head and all that.

      Jones out
      Johnson out
      Lucas out
      Allen out
Flanagan...really needs to get some consistency and should not be first choice left back (Enrique)

      Need a

CB Really gone off the boil with Sakho lately
RB Johnson has been poor for two full seasons now
      LB (Enrique perhaps)
      DM To help out Gerrard
CM Mkihtarian, Barkley (never going to happen but...), Max Meyer
      Winger to complement Sterling
Striker to put some real pressure on Studge and Suarez and to give them a break

Flanagan has been our most improved player along with Henderson.
Enrique is very prone to ball watching, he MAY offer more going forward, but for me Flanagan is a better defender.

To be honest with the lack off football Enrique has played this season, i don't think he will be the same player next, think it may come to a shock to some but end up fading like a certain Glen Johnson. Hope that's not the case and him and Flanagan battle it out competitively as ever for that position.

Think the priority should be Right Back a Left Back and Defensive Midfielder. Would love us to get Coleman and Baines but can't see the bitters selling to us. Javi Martinez would be a great buy as well. Can cover Defensive Midfield and Center Back which would be a good option to have considering we will be playing a lot of games next season.

He's also the league's most dribbled past defender and has a hell of a lot to learn. He's all too often caught in possession. That doesn't mean I agree he should be sold, simply that he is best suited to being a squad player rather than a first choice LB. As for the rest, I agree with most of what everyone else is saying, except that I think Skrtel should go as well. He may have been our best defender this season but in a season where our defence has been a shambles, that's not exactly a laudable achievement. Over the course of his career with us, he's been prone to making far too many mistakes and as such is a liability. I also want to see a more well rounded goalkeeper brought in as first choice. Mig's a fine shot stopper but so was Calamity James.

Definitely think we could do with some real competition for Mignolet, but I do think he'll improve the areas of his game where he's weak, namely catching and distribution. But he would be a Liverpool goalkeeper if he didn't make the odd blooper ; -)

Flanno is a good second choice he is not up to the standard if we want to compete at the top level. Not to say he wont improve.

I personally wouldn't sell any players who have been regular starters this season, we need to keep as much experience as possible around the squad and with the CL we'll have to rotate some players.  Obviously Aly and Moses will go back to the parent clubs as they aren't what we need and haven't done enough to secure their places.

From those out on loan I'd sell Assaidi and clearly Pepe won't be coming back.  I'd let Aspas leave too, he's too good not to be playing just not for us or in the EPL.

We have Borini, Suso, Robinson, Coady, Ilori, Ibe, Hodzic and Wisdom to come back from successful loan spells.

I'd be looking to buy an exceptional left and right wingback and an offensive midfielder who can steamroller his way through and score piledriving type goals from the edge of the area ala how Stevie used to.  We need an alternate method of breaking down defences and parked buses when our usual methods don't work  ;D

If we have any cash left I'd be looking at some young strikers who can be nurtured for the future.  We are desperately short of quality replacements coming through the Academy.

      In

      Reina (You never know :D)

Left back (Someone to challenge Enrique)
Defensive Midfielder (Masch or better) Or, Box - Box Midfielder (Paulinho or better)
Goal Scoring Forward (Sanchez or better)

Borini, Wisdom, Illori & Suso to return.

      Keep

      Mignolet
      Flanagan & Enrique

Still think we need a better goalkeeper... Mignolet just looks like he can make a mistake at any time. Cheeky bid for Casillas? Would be unlikely but interesting to see it unfold.

      Mignolet
Reina ( If he and Brendan can patch things up and Reina is up for the challenge) or if not then, Marshall (to seriously challenge Mig)

      RB
Johnson (I'd keep him. He's brilliant going forward and if we bring in a good defensive midfielder to provide better cover for him then he won't be such a liability)
If Johnson goes then Coleman or Montaya

My own personal culling would be:

      OUT

Jones & Reina - Jones is a flapping nervous wreck; can't see a way back for Pepe.
Replace with = Marshall and or Vorm.

Johnson - Shown for past 2 seasons he's not interested anymore. High wages off of books.
      Replace with = Richards/Sagna/Coleman

Agger & Coates - Agger is just not the player he used to be. Seems to have lost confidence in himself. If we can get a decent price then why not!
Replace with = Dejan Lovren or Joel Ward

Assaidi - Can't seeing him cut it at LFC. Advertised himself well to other EPL teams though.
      Replace with = Lallana.

Allen - Seeing him in a Liverpool just doesn't quite sit with me comfortably. Never will either.
      Replace with = Eriksen.

Aspas & Borini - Need a direct replacement for when either SAS get injured or an impact sub...neither of which these two are.
Replace with = Benteke or Ba and bring in Tello.

Moses & Cissokho - Thank fu*k we never bought the useless tw@ts.
Replace with = Suso back in from loan & Flannagan has shown he can deputise well enough.

      NEED

LB - Enrique is injury prone.
Wish List = Cole/Shaw but probably Davide Santon.

HM - Gerrard can't keep it up for much longer plus, I don't know  whether his head (or heart) will be in it next season. It's a vital position to fill and Lucas needs proper competition or back-up.
Wish List = Mascherano. Now there's a player that does know how to boss a midfield.

      HOLLYWOOD SIGNING

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - A front 3 with him and SAS and defenders WILL be shitting themselves next season.

      Thats my tuppence anyway.

Someone to help us close out games. Someone in the mascher mould not necessaryily to start each game but to come on to protect a lead, something we've lacked in the run in, u can't batter some of the big teams for 90mins. Lucas doesn't look like that player to me he doesn't hav the engine. I'd be sad to see the lad move on though was excellent for us through some very tough times
