The non-Liverpool Transfer/Gossip Thread: Summer 2014

Enner Valencia to West Ham. Another player that performed decent in the world cup. The guy can really leap, I think he'll fit into West Ham's long ball sh*t!

They sold two fullbacks who will be first class for a long time, three star performers who are about to hit their prime, and a striker who is perfect for the role we want him for.

The only shock sale is Rodriguez. The rest are quality and it only took watching them last season to see that.

Brings me back to last season, when people were giving out about Liverpool not spending as much as Southampton.
Looks like Southampton spent more than they could afford and are now cashing in on the peak.
Could be a horrendous season for them.

Don't believe that for a second.

He is probably selling off all the players to make a huge profit this summer and then he will put the club up for sale just before they really hit the sh*t and said chairman walks away a very rich man from his initial investment in the club.

Apparently they are selling their players at their peak value to make up for the difference in valuation their owner put on the club when trying to sell it. All the offers were well below what they wanted for the club so selling players seems the most ideal way to make up for that in their eyes.

Not my view, I think it's an idiotic stance to have as a seller but that's apparently what is going down over there.

Bitters seem to have signed Lukaku, press conference called for 7pm announcing it. Bugger, would have like us to sign him, especially for only the £24mill! Can't ever remember the Bitters signing a player I'd have liked us to get.

If you're a Southampton fan this season has to look pretty grim.

Many constantly referenced Southampton when saying that Liverpool weren't spending enough.
Clearly that reference should have been the other way around. Southampton were spending too much.
Talk about cashing out.

He seems to have had a good couple of years with Feyenoord but other than that his record is piss poor. I'd be a bit gutted if I was a Southampton fan and he was our main striker for the season.

Poor lad has spent that time on the sidelines though. He did look very good couple years ago.

For his sake I hope he gets a full season in but I have no idea how they got £10m for the lad, City. He hasn't played in two seasons and they've got top dollar for him considering they paid £15m for him.

No where near the level of Barkley mate. He could have been but moving to City really fu**ed him up, he needed to stay where he was for his development but chose to follow the money instead. Would never put him in the same bracket as Barkley.

DeAndre Yedlin is set for the Spuds.

Yedlin to spurs is an interesting one
Late bloomer in terms of his personal career.
Could be great or utterly out of his depth in the prem.
I imagine next season he won't get many games as he learns the prem and the position better.

Forster to Southampton. Good keeper I think and needs to be playing each week though would have been great to have had him at Anfield. But 10 million for a potential back up keeper would be a lot.
