He was a c**t against us, dirty little f**ker, fouling left right and center.

      He was that mate.

I expect a little pay back from Emre Can or Gerrard later on in the season.

Man City finally signed Mangalla from Porto, for a supposed fee of £32m. I read somewhere that it might be even more money than that - "Porto receives £24.4m from Mangala sale, third-party owner Doyen receives £14.2m, and Standard Liege gets £4.3m."

That's impressive. Porto have got to be the best sellers in world football. They always sell their talents for incredible profits.

This means that Liege get £4.3m out of the £24.4m Porto received, I think? Either way agent/club receive £38.6m.

This world is F***ing nuts. Nearly £40m for him and £50m for Luiz.

Trevor Sinclair just described Mangala as 'world class' ??? I personally don't think he's even in the top 10 of centre backs in the world so how is he world class? :D

Heard so much about Mangala being a beast of a center back, and could go on to be a world class player. Supposedly better than Varane, Koscielny & Sakho, but we shall see!!!

Swansea have been a bit naughty in this window. They sold Vorm to Spurs for an undisclosed fee reported to be between 4-5m, 30% of that was owed to Utrecht as a result of a clause that got put into the deal that took Vorm from Utrecht to Swansea. Utrecht called up for what they are owed a few days ago and Swansea turned round and said it was a free transfer.

I hate it when clubs do sh*t like this! If you're going to put stupid clauses in contracts then pay the clubs what they are owed! FC Utrecht have apparently taken the matter to FIFA.

That's probably going to be pretty good business. With the right nurturing I can see him turning into really good player. We should have been in for him.

Bit of an agree and disagree FL.  Our full back targets are more accomplished than DeAndre, but it sure as hell would have been fun for us to have a Yank in the squad.  I'd say I wish the kid well but I find Spurs annoying as all hell ;D.

Saints trying to squeeze every penny out of us and everyone else buying their players and then they go and spend £12M on Shane Long, at least 4x more than he is worth. Karma.

I'm sure some interest was expressed in the LFC hierarchy last season about the lad, I know he was mentioned on the forum quite a lot.

Looks like Xabi is on his way out of Madrid, thank F**k it's not to the scum!

Xabi Alonso: Real Madrid player to have Bayern Munich medical

Bayern Munich are in talks to sign Xabi Alonso from Real Madrid and the midfielder is set to have a medical with the German club on Thursday.

The 32-year-old has been at Real for five years following his £30m move from Liverpool in 2009.

The Spaniard, a Champions League winner in May, only signed a new two-year deal in January.

Alonso announced his retirement from international football on Wednesday after 114 caps.

He won two European Championships and a World Cup with Spain.

Alonso started his career at Real Sociedad before joining Liverpool, where he also won the Champions League, in 2004.

I'm not sure whether he would be gutted that he has just left seeing as we have since drawn Real Madrid in the CL.

On one hand he would have loved to comeback and play at Anfield but on the the other hand, he may not have felt comfortable playing against us at Anfield.

Remy looks to be on his way to Chelsea as Torres' replacement.

Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Chelsea have indeed agreed the signing of France striker Loic Remy from west London rivals QPR, The Blues are said to have activated a 10million euros (£7.9m) clause in the 27-year-old's contract.

He'll flourish there again with a coach who know's what to do with him.

One less option the Mancs have too, and he's a pretty decent player who could have had a huge influence if managed properly.

I watch United quite a bit as they're on the TV regularly and I stick any football on, and I don't remember Kagawa ever getting a game.

Never ever gets a game and I think United will regret selling him. As Mata hasn't exactly been brilliant since his arrival.

      Falcao to City it seems.
If they do get him, that'll be the difference between City and Chelsea for the title IMO.

Wouldn't even surprise me if City are buying Falcao purely to stop Chelsea getting him. Bonkers it is really.
