Australia finally ditched Lucas Neill, not sure of final squad yet, but Neill won't be in so they'll be looking for a new captain

How on earth is that considered a worse group than Spain, The Netherlands and Chile?

This. Australia were never gonna have much of chance regardless of what group they were in, but got a shocking group.

We're going to get thumped every game and it's probably going to be a hideous long ball to Josh Kennedy/ Stoke under Pulis style of play. I really hope Ange just says to them go out there and play some proper football there's no point in playing ugly when you're going to lose.

Australia's last chance of winning the World Cup went when Harry sick note Kewell retired :f_tongueincheek:

Winning the world cup is not at all an Australian hope, over here the aim is simply to get out of the group stage, though like I said, no chance of it happening.

Wonder what odds you can get on Australia not scoring a goal...
