In the history of Liverpool Football Club it doesn't rank as one of the greatest, in relation to those of the 21st Century it's probably been the best from a Premier League perspective.

Most thought we'd struggle to make the top four, we F***ing cruised past that. Realistically nobody thought we'd win it and yet we still took it to the final game of the season. We broke record after record after record. We did all this with a squad that really only had two substantial investments in during the whole season (Sakho and Mignolet). We did this with a very limited squad.

It was a good season that could, and hopefully will, be the platform for future great seasons to be built upon.

The club as a whole can be proud of their efforts but cannot allow themselves to rest on their laurels (or hardys) and have to go even further next year.

Agreed! To go a bit further ahead though (the topic is about last season), great seasons in the future can't be achieved with limited squad and practically only two investments. We have to go further than last season if really want to win trophies without having to break so many records cause records can't be broken every day!

"The club as a whole": correct if the owners are included whose turn is now to prove if building a strong competitive European side is in their intentions.

From January up towards the end of April it was F***ing brilliant, twatting Everton, Arsenal, Spurs at home, beating City, embarrassing the Mancs at OT.

The downside has been our defence and performances against Hull, Southampton, West Brom and dare I say it Chelsea plus the collapse at Palace.

The atmosphere at times has been superb as well, still remember laughing my head off rather than cheering as Sturridge placed the fourth past Arsenal's keeper!
