Strange atmosphere around the Island today after the death of Dan Kneen last night.
Thoughts go out to his family and friends.
Dan's father came out today in the press and insisted that this years TT races must go on as Dan would've insisted on it.
      Still hard to take though.

I imagine it's sombre enough evening mate even with practice going on.

Yeah, all a bit weird this evening. I haven't bothered to wander down the road to watch tonight.
I can hear them alright, full pelt in the evening sunshine but I'll give it a miss now until Saturday's race.

Steve Mercer's incident is rearing it's ugly head too with rumours abound about how an inspection car hit him whilst travelling on the track in the opposite direction shortly after Dan's crash :o
      Ongoing investigation with that one.
Yer man Steve was airlifted to Liverpool last night and is critical but stable.

TT2018 finishes for another year and boy what a final race today.
Peter Hickman is now officially the fastest road racer in the world after he smashed the outright lap record topping a 135mph average lap speed... WTF !!
The final lap of the six was the TT at it's best today with Hickman pulling 8 seconds on Harrison over the mountain stretch.

The incredible hot weather these last two weeks have been unreal.

      over an out  ;)

One of my favourite weeks of the year as the North West 200 begins with practice tomorrow.

Going up on Thursday and off all day so hopefully will get to see some practice along with the evening races.

Working Saturday so will miss the main day but can't win them all.

Then the TT in a couple of weeks.

      Can't wait.

I watched some Road Racing from N.I last night. Holy sh*t its terrifying . I always thought these lads on two wheels were even more gifted than the F1 lads road racing is just incredibly dangerous

      They're fearless Walt.

Had a great afternoon/evening up in Portrush yesterday and the highlight was the first Supersport race where Alistair Seeley and Lee Johnston battled it out for the win with Lee coming out on top in the end.

      Five races today....
It's been a bit of weather washout this year with cancellations and postponements every day for the last two weeks.
It's been weird not hearing the helicopter zooming over the top of our house.. saying that it has just flew over now.
The whole of the course is pretty much dry all round.

Fingers crossed the early start Senior Race will be good to go tomorrow morning. Weather forecast looks pretty sh*te tbh.

Terrible weather this year mate and the North West suffered similar on the Saturday as well.

Delighted for a favourite of mine, Lee Johnston, getting his first TT win the other day but man of the moment is definitely Hicky.

Won the Stock race today by over 25 seconds or something ridiculous. He's going to win some amount of TT's over the next few years.

Yeah, It's been a bit of lottery this year with hardly any practice laps to get the feel of this ridiculous mountain course, so it's been a case of who dares wins..
6,3 and 4 lap races reduced to 2 because of the weather so you had to take your chance and just go for it.

Mickey D will always be up there whatever the weather and shows no fear whatsoever.

Hickey with 7 wins at the Ulster Grand Prix over the weekend.

He's untouchable on the roads at the moment.

Marquez wins another MotoGP championship and nobody, especially me, cares.
Ive lost all interest since his total domination and its a pity that theres nobody even close to him to make it exciting,  which is bad for the sport.
