This is surely one of the most astute buys the club has ever done.

Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho... we have made a few astute buys over the last 4 years. Only problem for each astute buy there is at least two poor buys. Though that probably stands for most clubs. A couple more astute buys like Can in the Summer and we will be a real force next season.

Had a mare esecially when he was pushed up into the middle.

Way too many backward passes when he had players ahead of him in better positions.

Really hope he doesn't burn out, remember he's only 20 years old. Needs a rest every now and again.

With Lucas injured I think it's time for Can to move into midfield. Emre and Hendo would boss the midfield, and they could take turns getting forward while the other sits. Having 3 CB's would also provide enough cover if/when both get caught playing a little too aggressively in attack.

Yep, for all the flack Joe Allen gets in here, when you are playing against a side that like to press the ball (as they did last night in the middle of the park at times) the little mans quick touch, sharp turn and awareness of others around him can be an asset. Can by comparison did look a bit cumbersome and off the pace in the middle yesterday. I still think he is more of an 8 than a 4.

Future captain for sure for me. Unfortunately he's not ready to be captain just yet.

Definitely our future Captain. Hendo will have to be happy with vice.
