Wouldn’t be surprised if he genuinely thought we would bow to his demands but now we haven’t and signed Fabinho, he’s probably thinking he should have given Juve an answer sooner.

Or maybe he is still undecided? There could be a good chance we keep Emre.

There is no chance he’s staying.

The less we see developments of Emre signing for a new club the stronger it becomes he could stay with us, I believe Emre has plenty to offer us..

How exactly? His contract is going to expire within weeks, by the looks of it there is no further offer from the club for a renewal. He won’t be a Liverpool player next season.

Heard an interesting argument on a podcast, something along the lines of:

He's signed a deal at Liverpool, he's honoured his contract, he's played as well as he could for the years he's been contracted to. He's under no legal ground to sign a new deal. He's literally done the job he's been hired for.

Now while I stopped and paused for a while to think about 'maybe I've been overreacting' I'm still returning to 'no he's a c**t'.

Why? It's not like he strung the club along, and the club had every opportunity to sell him and make something back but chose not to. I'd strongly disagree with anyone who says he down tools either, because he's played as good - or bad - as he ever has, so I have no problem with him. Don't want to be here? Your loss. Thanks for your time, see you on the playing field when we beat you in Europe.

I think we already forgot that we also have Ox to play in midfield next season, (more valuable than Lallana in my opinion) even tho he doesn't like to play on the wing anymore, he still can play there as well as centre midfield. So Emre can literally leave asap. Keita, Fabinho, Ox, Milner, Henderson, Gini, add Fekir hopefully on oh my!

I think he'll play for what it's worth.

Know what's funny though I was just thinking.
      2 things

If he was that good we might be bothered..  he's not really

The exciting thing is we look to have not one but two better looking midfielders coming in as he goes out.. potentially another after that

Only thing that sticks for me is he's off for a free but ..... ah well

I wonder what his valuation would have been, mid thirties I'd guess so it does kind of suck. ANyway he won't be missed and I'd be amazed if he gets much game time in Juve but for them its a free transfer, squad bolstered type of thing.

His brain must be the size of a pea imo.To not want to stay. Can't he see Klopps vision? Can't he see the players old and new, he would be playing alongside.Klopp has come out and said he "wanted Can to stay"
Technicaly he's done nothing wrong.Which makes me surmise its a "money" issue.
So good luck to the lad and I'm sure he will (in time)regret not staying here.

His agent has played a blinder as I expect Can will get a nice signing on fee. He just wasn't quick enough and needed that extra touch so not great loss.
I expect someone at the Club will ask the question how did we allow him to leave for free .

Players who sign contract extensions get signing on fees as well.

Think he'll do well at Juventus, if he goes there.  Disappointed he's gone because I think he's better than a couple of midfielders we've got, but if he wants a new challenge then he's done the right thing for him and for us by getting off.

      Onwards and upwards.

Emre Can will pocket an eye-watering £14million signing-on fee after completing his free transfer from Liverpool to Juventus.

Welcome to him, not worth anywhere near a wage like that.

Forgot about him for large parts of the season, then got fed up of seeing Juve this and Juve that.

Far from lived up to the early potential. Would have been nice to get a transfer fee for him but ultimately, he thinks he’s better than he is and is no real loss.
