Apparently Luis isn't starting if the lineup from livescore.com is accurate

I'd be surprised if he plays at all.

Mirror reporting Sterling will start in the #10 role for England.

Supposedly on the bench from what's been reported, still it's his national team so I still wish him and Uruguay the best. ;D

Campbell looks like a player for Costa Rica on early judgement. Their best player by the looks of it so far, early days yet.

Cavani could have had a touch there, fluffed the volley.

Cavani from the spot, 1-0 Uruguay. Referee was spot on with that call for the penalty.

About time a Ref called a Pen for that sort of foul.

Think he should've given a yellow for the lunge just prior to the penalty decision.

Some effort by Campbell just there, very very close.

Yes, but he did have his leading leg bent out of the way. Reckless either way.

Does Uruguay not have a #10 playmaker or a deep lying ball playing midfielder in their squad?

I'm not a fan of their playing style, It feels too direct and they don't seem to have that spark in attack.

Extremely direct up to Cavani. I feel with Suarez in the team they'd play a different game.

Just seen the pitch being repaired at Manaus by the England backroom staff and their feet. Pitch is being tore up at the Uruguay game, but even before the England game, that pitch looks far worse.

Townsend really does talk top quality bollocks.

I remember when ITV hired him as the analyst for their ridiculous premiership coverage and he had a segment called Andy Townsend's tactics truck.

The idea was he would get one of the players in the back of his truck to anlayse the match. First episode he has Ugo Ehiogu in teh back of his truck. "So Ugo you'd probably say your defending there was a bit naive..."

The look on Ugo's face as he didn't know whether to disagree or just headbutt him was hilarious.

Suarez being brought on when not fully fit to bail this lot out would not be good though.
