Well I did not see this happening. Still plenty of time left though.

      No airtime for Luis then.

      Must be way off then.

I remember when ITV hired him as the analyst for their ridiculous premiership coverage and he had a segment called Andy Townsend's tactics truck.

The idea was he would get one of the players in the back of his truck to anlayse the match. First episode he has Ugo Ehiogu in teh back of his truck. "So Ugo you'd probably say your defending there was a bit naive..."

The look on Ugo's face as he didn't know whether to disagree or just headbutt him was hilarious.

Was meaning to ask over the past couple of weeks if anyone recalled that particular (and peculiar) segment of the show. From what I remember it wasn't a feature that was kept on. Talk about a hash production job. Townsend's Tactics Trucks? Was it merely to prove ITV's alliteration skills?! Still a better option than the quickly disregarded 'Townsend's Treacle Tits'!

Tried googling it and came up with this ghastly sketch.

Hard to see him starting against England now.

      I know mate.

How wasn't that a red for Caceres?

Refereeing has been way below standard so far in this tournament.

I remember it, it was about a 5 min slot where he gave his "expert" opinion. He was in the back of a van, with TV monitors.

Very amateur to say the least.

Townsend's Tactics Truck was mocked by journalists and loyal supporters as "excruciatingly painful and totally inept"

The fact that you can not find anything, just shows how bad it was, even the WWW does not want to recognise that it even existed.

This Costa Rica side will cause England and Italy problems. England may struggle if they need to beat them in the last game to go through.

Oh dear Uruguay. Very disappointed in their performance. Fine finish though.

Quite similar to The Analyst segment on Channel 4's Cricket coverage with Simon Hughes it seems. Only Simon Hughes could tell us something!

Looking at this performance it's not beyond them (Costa Rica) to get out of this group. I hope they do.

Can't see Uruguay getting out of the group now. Not sure whether that's a good thing though. Could do with Luis being there long enough to get sick and tired of warm weather rather than just getting a sniff of it.

You know what his English is like. You tell him they play in orange and he'll probably try to eat them.
