Bosnia doing well defensively here. Unlucky to be a goal down.

Don't know what's wrong with Messi and Argentina, but somehow they can never play well at World Cups.

Barring Argentina's attacking line, they're not that impressive. They've reminded me of Sven's England in this match so far. Take an opportunistic lead, do nothing after it.

To say this match has been bang average is an understatement.

Just came back from the MaracanĂ£. I was very much looking forward to watching Messi, who is in my eyes the very best player in the world, and to be honest I was a bit underwhelmed in the first half. He looked slow, uninterested; I'm not sure what was wrong but in the stadium you could see his movement off the ball and he simply didn't seem to be trying to get into good positions enough.

But then in the 2nd half he scored THAT goal. A brilliant goal - typical Messi. It was fantastic to watch the best player on Earth.

The Argentina fans were pretty cool in the stadium, as well as a small minority of Bosnia fans. Brazilian fans got behind Bosnia and started adapting Brazilian football songs to support them :D It was pretty funny for a while.

All in all, it was definitely not the best match of this WC so far, but I enjoyed it, especially for having the chance to watch Messi.

I also thought Rojo was impressive for Argentina. Di Maria is a brilliant player.

Bosnia are awfully predictable and lacked urgency even when behind the score. They got a big guy in Dzeko but barely made use of him and played too narrow. They're a decent team but I wasn't impressed.

Rojo impressed me too! Hope to see more of him and see how he fairs vs better attacking players. I wonder If he's available!

      Nice seat there Diego.

only watched the first 50minutes of the game, absolutely dire match from what I saw so I went to the shops instead haha. Not sure that Argentina will pose much of a threat to any of the other big teams, especially if they play like that

Bosnia gave a very good account of themselves. Unfortunate with the OG, but a bit like Croatia in that if they play like they did today in their next two matches, they're getting out of the group.

Bosnia did very well in there first ever game on WC. They made a rookie mistakes due to the lack of experience and they did not have luck, but they shoved that they can play whit best teams. Just keep it up and second round will come.

From what i seen on Argentinian side, they are lacking playmaker in midfield. I'm afraid that for a win on WC you have to have someone aka Gerrard, Pirlo, Alonso, Modrić, .... in a team. But if Messi has his day it can be put aside  ;D

I thought Bosnia were decent, and considering it's their very first WC and they were playing one of the favorites in their first game, they can be proud of their performance. However, I can't help but feel they could have done more. They were frustratingly predictable and kept insisting on playing narrowly, instead of trying to make better use of Dzeko, who ended up barely touching the ball in dangerous areas.

I liked that Ibisevic scored last night, he's not a brilliant player, far from being a complete striker, but he's a very reliable goalscorer.

I thought their formation was way too defensive. 3 defenders against Bosnia with nearly the entire crowd behind them? Come on!
I'm glad Sabella wasn't afraid of making a double change at half time though, it really improved their game.

Very surprised at Iran so far.  Threw a quid on a 5-0 for Nigeria - that is looking incredibly ambitious right now!  These two both look like certs to go home - especially how good Bosnia were last night.

Odemwingie complaining to the ref, saying the ball didn't hit his arm. God knows why he is complaining though because it's irrelevant, he didn't even hit the target. Tool.

I really like Neil Lennon as an analyst/pundit. He throws in a bit of humour every now and again too and makes it subtle unlike Chiles who just appears desperate as F**k.

Christ Almighty. Let's pretend that game never happened! That said, that would have been standard in South Africa and most parts of Germany 06.

This World Cup, so far, has proved to be a revelation!
