Apparently they have not won a competition since '93.

That's so harsh on Iran, thought they played well enough to deserve a draw. Great finish by Messi though!

That's why Messi is World Class. Goal out of nothing.

That is why he is the best.

Can he really win this world cup on his own? I still seriously doubt it considering the opposition they've played in Bosnia and Iran is hardly illustrious. Argentina have been so average.

I agree.  Iran has had a decent amount of  attacking football in this match.  They weren't sitting back playing for a point.  Unbelievable goal though.

I really like Rojo, I think he's one of those CB's that can play full back with ease (Babbel, Ivanovic etc).

Get in there Nigeria! What a result!

Very poor decision to rule out Dzeko's legit goal, and I wish it wasn't under those circumstances, but Nigeria do have the 3 points.

Just what they need. Shame for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Think Nigeria were the better team though.

Heartbreaking for Bosnia to be out of their first World Cup on the back of poor refereeing. So unlucky.

Yeah, the Messi goal was special. Can never switch off against him because he can pull out magic in a moment. Feel for Iran though who not only deserved a point, created a few good opportunities and could have been given a penalty as well.

Feel for Bosnia. They felt already on there first tournament referee injustice, who knows how would game go on if they were leading 1:0. But how game developed after that, can't really say that they were better side.

I think Nigeria just shaded the game last night but Dzeko was hard done by with the offside.

Really like the look of the midfield pair for Bosnia, Pjanic and Besic. Very tidy footballers the pair of them.

I admit, I never really noticed Pjanic in the 1st game as I was more focused on the Argentinian players, but It was nice of the pundits to point them out. I really think Pjanic would be a revelation for us (a bit like Modric for Madrid).

Ahh! THAT'S why you are such a fan of Moses! I think Nigeria did well last night so good on them.

But Moses is still a massive pile of sh*t!

Not a surprise is it? I've explained it before.

Moses did play poorly in the first game, but he's not had game time this season.

Argentina looking good for the full 9 points with a little....ok a lot, of help from Lionel Messi. Nigeria have been good though. 3-2

Oh and I'm pretty certain that the Argentina manager Alejandro Sabella is Karl Pilkington's dad.

Nigeria gave a good account of themselves there. Shaky in defence, but yet scoring two great goals themselves from open play.

Argentina scored 2 from set pieces, and the first from a bit of a lucky bounce off the keeper. Good finish by Messi though. The 3rd goal was a complete accident. Almost comical. :)

      Both teams qualified.

I've got Argentina in my work sweep, they'll need to step up a gear in the next phase.

Messi is completely carrying them at the moment. On the plus side: He's pretty much shed the notion he can't play well for Argentina. Having a monster World Cup.
