THIRD PLACE MATCH: Brazil v Netherlands
      Jul 10, 2014 12:17:38 am
Here we go, to the end of the greatest world cup of all.

      Brazil vs Netherlands
      Argentina vs Germany

My thoughts: Germany world champion, Netherlands 3rd place!

Not the greatest world cup ... nearly. I still think '86 beats it.

      The final.

If Argentina score the opener, Germany won't be phased. If Germany score the opener, Argentina will be phased.
I think Monster Masch will be fired up.

Greatest world cup I've seen, in the prediction league I picked Argentina over Germany so I'm sticking with it.

Come on Germany! I'm actually not as anti-Argentina as I usually am this time, in great part because I'm a huge Messi fan, but Rio is infested with Argies and it would be funnier if I had the chance of mocking them after the game! (hopefully with no one attempting to punch my face this time)

I have to give it to Mourinho this time, he certainly can pour salt even when he looks like he's dressing the bandage.

"I think everyone who is a player, everyone who is a coach, everyone who is not involved in the World Cup – we are feeling really, really sorry for them."

“In 50 years’ time, kids will [still] know that Brazil lost at home 1-7 to Germany.“

I mean you wouldn't want him with the microphone when you are on the ledge.

Certainly the greatest world cup in my lifetime.

Hope the Dutch actually beat Brazil tonight just to see that attention seeking fraud David Luiz trying to seek out a camera to cry in front of again.

Looking at some comments from Netherlands side I doubt they can win tonight. They just wont to go home and this third place game has no meaning for them. On the other hand Brazil needs to soften semifinal blow.

I was intending to watch the 3rd place play off, somehow- today I don't feel like watching it, think I'm sick of seeing the antics by both sides diving and playing dirty tactics. sick of their faces too.

So much is wrong here; Wasn't a penalty - was a freekick, should have been red - was yellow and the sickening sight of RVP scoring.

      ;D well deserved too.

Couldn't believe Holland were 5/2 for this match, filled my boots with that and also a bit on some tasty scores to the dutch... might nto have gone high enough again, think I'll cover this time. Had Germany 5-0 against them last time at 250/1, my hopes were dashed quickly though :(

Luiz, is poor, should have headed that over the bar to safety.

Do we think his elbows have a separate contract? They sure as hell have a mind of their own. Dirty git.

Having watched Luiz in a few game now, it is very worrying just how much better Chelsea will be next season without him.

What absolute shithouse tactics from Scolari, get Sideshow to lump the ball up at every opportunity. Is this Brazil or West Ham just plain embarrassing.

Probably one of the worst refereeing performances all tournament, which is saying something. Wasn't a penalty as it was outside the box, but that was definitely a red. Not sure what Robben got booked for as that particular incident wasn't a dive, and neither was Oscar's card for diving when Blind injures his knee which, according to the ref, didn't make contact with Oscar.

All that aside, Brazil were brutally bad once again. Too easy for the Netherlands. I can't believe Neymar had to undergo three amputations, treatment for fingernail cancer and ultimately death by way of a ham sandwich-eating gerbil for THAT.

David  Luiz has managed the impossible he has made Andy Carroll's £35mil transfer fee look cheap. The most overrated self indulgent player of his era.
