      Marco Reus (Dortmund)

This may appease some fans ;D ;D

Liverpool look to capitalise on Reus' disappointment
LIVERPOOL could be set to rescue Marco Reus from his Barcelona and Manchester United disappointment by offering him a move to Merseyside this summer.

Reus was left aggravated by Luis Suarez's move to Barcelona last week because he believed he was en route to the Spanish giants.

But new boss Luis Enrique is thought to have preferred Suarez to the German international, leaving Reus in the lurch.

The 25-year-old had already spurned interest from United because he favoured a move to Barca.

But it seems that Liverpool are ready to offer the dazzling forward a way out of Borussia Dortmund.

Reports suggest that Brendan Rodgers could launch a £44m bid for Reus that Dortmund will find difficult to resist.

The Reds desire to add more attacking firepower after losing Suarez is well-known having asked for Alexis Sanchez as part of the deal with Barcelona.

But after seeing Sanchez choose Arsenal instead, Liverpool have wasted no time in looking at alternatives.

The Reds appear close to finalising a move for Serbian youngster Lazar Markovic but have today also been linked with Arda Turan, Wilfried Bony and Romelu Lukaku.

Expected Caught offside or talkshite to be the source. Are the Guardian reliable? If we get Reus i'll be amazed.

      Edit

      Just read the above ;D

      BR: "Marco Reus? Who's he?"

But seriously, how could you not show interest in him? Is he too good for us?

Because he's not from Wales or the South coast.

Maybe because he has no interest in signing for any other club than Barca. He said he wouldn't leave for even Munich.

You get the point. He's a quality above what we usually hunt for in the transfer market, hence why we have not shown any interest in him.

He was injured in June and the injury was said to have a 6-7 week recovery period.

Reus doesn't want to leave for anyone other than Barça and we have distanced ourselves from this transfer. Don't get your hopes up.

He's a bit like the Ozil signing. We would have to break the bank to an extent and we don't actually need him as much as we need defenders or a CF . Obviously though if he is available which I doubt then you have to go for him because he would start over any of our attacking midfielders

Reus is a much better player and more versatile that Ozil. Imagine a front three with Reus, Raheem and Danny interchanging positions they would make defences dizzy!!!

I was just thinking (dreaming about) the same thing. I think he'd be a lot more than a glamour signing though. He could add real quality and experience to our side and it would make a massive statement of intent. I don't know how anyone can even contemplate going for Bony, Remy or Jay Rodriguez over this guy.
