Good luck to him - just never really got going and seemed to be a case of leaving a club too early

But he never bad mouthed us and now he has a chance to show he isnt a bad player.

Good luck to him??? Has he not had enough good fortune already? Earning a shitload of cash for nothing, plus being a pr**k about not moving to other clubs and milking the club for all its worth.

Sorry but why should he move if he feels its not the right move for him - he hasnt done anything wroong , we bought him , we gave him the contract so why should he move if he doesnt want to go to the ckub ?

a sense of self respect, earning your money, playing football rather than just sitting on a bench, all would be motivating factors for other better people.

Wish this lad all the best.  Clearly came to as too young and with too big a price tag on his head.

Not that young now is he, plus considerably richer than he was, yet still sh*t. A truly baffling signing from Rodgers and Transfer committee and shameful that he never wanted to move on and progress his career! I would also add that its a weird signing from Fulham.

      Is probably right.

I’ve said repeatedly I don’t think I’ve seen a player less equipped mentally to play for LFC.

Doesn’t make him a bad kid or mean his character is flawed.

      Heavy jersey is ours.

      Yep

On a big contract as well, one he's perhaps unlikely to ever get again, one that wasn't his fault but one that will probably set him and his family up for life..

This he doesn't want to play football nonsense is just daft..
He's even played u23s this season. Most professionals who are in his position would down tools and refuse that

Didn't work out.. Good luck to him.

I am... We could have and should have sold him two years ago, instead he was allow to  be here taking drawing a wage just like Sturrigde, and Lallana  :f_steam:

But nobody wanted to sign him, the best we could manage was loan deals, and he was sh*te at Sporting(?) so they terminated his loan, he went to Hull and he was still just as sh*te.
He had the chance to leave in the summer but turned it down. Lots of players would happily sit and play in the U23s on the money he was on.

Absolutely. Turned down multiple chances - but preferred to stay and pick up a handy paycheck, even though he was never going to make it in the first team. Showed little ambition or drive.

£20 million down the toilet and then there were his wages.
Another fine mess you got the club into BR and the TC.

      Simple as that really

I personally feel it's a bit immature those who slag him off regarding the money when if they could put themselves in his shoes they would more than likely do the exact same

From our club point of view, yeah great he's gone but I don't understand the gnashing of teeth over him

If I had the ability and the chance to play at the highest level - I'd want to play, not lounge around while my best days past me by. And while he lounged, he soaked up cash that we could have used better elsewhere.
Put it like this, if we had a dressing room full of Marko's, nobody would pay for a ticket.
Add that to the 20mill outlay.
Nope, don't feel one bit sorry for him.

You're looking at it from the clubs side and if I am I agree

I'm talking about his side of it to which again I bet you wouldnt do any different in his shoes

If he's smart he will have invested it to secure his families future
