It's only a friendly but Enrique and Johnson have hardly covered themselves in glory in this first half. Johnson in particular. We really can afford to ditch that guy.

Their players are going down very easily IMO.

Enrique isn't too bad, got to remember he has played very little in the last year.

Only just tuned in but agree this completely based on the previous 18months. My number 1 and 2 priorities were left and right wing backs for us. Proper players, sorry to say we're lacking in those areas and they seem so vital for Brendan's systems to succeed.

Why I really want Moreno to be signed and sealed, clearly our number 1 priority, just get the thing done.

Enrique is doing ok in my opinion, Every attack down our right that involves Johnson is breaking down and subsequently leaving us exposed at the back.

Nice to see the ref booking Saviola a yellow for diving

We're struggling to keep the ball. When we do have the ball for periods we look dangerous, but we are struggling to hold possession.

Anyway HT and we're 1-0 up.

Too slow in our build up imo. When we have broken quickly we have done well, but too often we are taking too long in aimless passing.

Considering that they're vital players within the system being played it's tragic that we have to rely on those two. No one has ever unanimously agreed on either player (when fit) which confirms to me that neither are good enough in their roles if we want to make the leap to top spot.

Yeah, they are pressing  high up to stop the main source (Gerrard) from dictating the play. This is where we need a ball playing attacking midfielder(Coutinho) to pick the ball , take the play higher up the field and dictate in my opinion.

Combine the aimlessness of Skrtel and Jones and the pathetic nature of Johnson's play then it's no wonder. Enrique as well doesn't have a clue when playing in support and has left Markovic and Can exposed at times.

Glen started where he left off last season! Got to admit its great to have Enrique back.
Can and Hendo will be some engine in the middle this season. Oh and Markovic will be class once he settles in.

Defensively he's a country mile ahead of Johnson. Our two most pressing issues are the two fullback positions. They need to be addressed with quality additions.

I think your being very harsh on Enrique he has been pretty solid defensively without offering much offensively I admit.

Saviola is constantly diving here. Even when Gerrard barely caught him he went down like he'd been shot, which resulted in Gerrard giving him a bollocking.

The amount of potential Emre Can has is F***ing frightening. IMHO he's going to be an absolute worldie in the coming seasons. Cannot wait to see him develop in the PL & CL, can see him becoming a regular name in our midfield.

Completely agree, strong and composed at the back and we all know he has never been great going forward.

Johnson on the other hand is sh*te going forward and defensively, he is fast becoming my worst ever liverpool player frustrates me more and more every time we play

Suppose they'll practice ANYTHING in pre-season, mate. Retrospective ban for all dives, with +1 game for every F***ing pencil roll they do after they hit the floor.

So far been most impressed with Emre Can. Looks so composed and sure of himself for someone who is only 20 years of age. Don't want to overhype him but he's looking fairly decent to me.

Markovic has also been okay. His decision making and timing of passes needs work, but that'll come with time. Again he's another youngster who'll only get better.

Right now our defences ability to play the ball out of defence is undermining our attacking play. When Lovren and Sakho return along with better fullbacks, we should be okay.
