Love the guy - always felt sorry for him last year, looked like a fish out of water but it could have been the making of him. It could have destroyed him but he's shown the determination to prove everyone wrong.

The man is a model professional too - always insightful and intelligent in interviews and his delight and passion towards the supporters (along with Sakho in particular) at the end of last night was beautiful to see.

In sum, they really cared for the supporters. And that's the most important thing we want from a footballer today.

Dejan has turned his game around so much I would put him in the top 3 centre halfs in the league. He was first to everything again last night. Delighted for him.

To me, he is at Anfield for a long time.
Has shown in the last few weeks his quality, desire, commitment and passion for the cause.
It's all about how klopp chooses from Lovren, Sakho and Matip because clearly skrtel, toure and possibly Illori are off.

Playing well at late, then today, wow that was appalling, one of the worst CB displays I have seen from a LFC player in a long while, Skrts will prob get the blame for Lovrens poor performance, can't wait for Matip and hopefully one more top quality CB to join

Yep made that look like the blip in a fantastic run of form. It's something to remember that he was on the right in these matches where he had to switch for Swansea but also being alongside Skrtel and surely the proof is there in spades now.

Cracking turn around by Dejan and he's without doubt the most improved player under Jürgen.

Tremendous stuff, that block in the early stages of the second half (sorry to whoever said it first as I've forgotten) had all the hallmarks of Carra about it.

Excellent again tonight. My one quibble is I'd like him to be more of a threat from set pieces. He should be, he's a beast in the air.

Lovren and Matip for next season?
Anyone know if Matip usually plays as the left or the right CB because Lovren is certainly much much better as a RCB judging by who he has played with this season.

He has excelled under Jürgen, the confidence in him is plain to see, we are seeing signs of a top class cb who will only get better, with Matip next to him and a top class keeper behind him it's a possibility he could become as good as Jocky was, he for me is a perfect candidate for the armband if Jürgen decides to have a different skipper,

Everyone that isn't on International duty is expected to report for pre season training in 2 weeks mate.  The article is in Jurgens thread from last week.  He says there's too much work still to do and not enough time to do it if they get their usual summer holidays.

I would actually consider making him Captain!

I wouldn't be against him being Captain although Can would be my choice but I don't think he Dejan has ironed out all his issues he was piss poor against the Chavs with Kolo bailing him out regularly.

It's too early for Can IMO, but certainly in the future. Lovren has overcome adversity and shown the right attitude.
