Think you guys are being a bit harsh on Lovren. None of the defence were good against Swansea but they were very all good against Man Utd, every now and again a player has an off day, it will happen to Matip as well, its when several players all have an off day at the same time that sh*t happens.

It's not one ''off'' day, he has alot of ''off'' days which is worrying.

Boumsong level or Titus Bramble level?

Gonna have to pick up his performance levels tenfold. Absolutely tripe and can thank his lucky stars that he didn't cost us three points.

Needs to be benched for a quality CB next season.

I definitely would have let Sakho make up for his F**k up's off the pitch on the pitch. Sakho made Lovren look better then he was last season I think, of course it could go both ways but Matip and Sakho seemed a stronger partnership.

Nothing much changed despite working under Jürgen, he will continue to have decent games but unfortunately still have games like where he is brain dead.

I'm sure Big Mick will have a explanation  :lmao:

Let's hope with a little more game time Lovren and Matip can get on the same wavelength. Neither has pace, so positional intelligence is going to be important.

Let's hope we upgrade him this summer.

Whenever he doesn't play we concede! Mind you whenever he does we concede also so maybe there's nothing in it.

Too inconsistent to be a first choice for a team aspiring for Top 4 ambitions.

I would be unhappy if we don't bring in a upgrade to partner Matip next season.

I think Matip is quality and when he's paired with a real CB (Lovren or even Klavan for instance) he looks pretty strong. When he's worried about his partner (Lucas) he overcommits and can be pulled out of position.

He was class before his injury but just like Coutinho post injury been poor.

Definitely gives the ball away a lot more than he did before.

Do you think it's physical re the injury, or that knowing he's not really being pushed for his place, just isn't as switched on for matches?

No idea mate but I imagine it's not having a regular partner who he trusts and has confidence in.

Although I don't rate Lovren as good enough when they have both played together we have looked strongest at the back.
