Although I don't rate Lovren as good enough when they have both played together we have looked strongest at the back.

Agreed. Wondering here if Lovren might be out for the season. If that's the case maybe he should use Gomez for the remainder of the season and see if he looks like he will be able to recover from his injury and be a player for us again. I also prefer Klavan to Lucas. Klavan's not perfect but I would expect him to remain in our squad

Hope Dejan comes back in and is fit enough to perform well. Don't think Lucas should start at CB for this one, and looks like Klavan is out of favor.

Absolute Rolls Royce today, but for a brilliant performance from each of Can and Coutinho would have been MOm and only wasn't because he made it look easy. Why can't he a) say fit more often and b) play like that more often?

On that form, there are VERY few better.

Didn't see the game, but pleased a punch that he's played well, great to hear.

He was superb today, all the talk has been about Lukaku but lovren made him look like a little boy. Really impressive, fingers crossed he can stay fit and show the same form for the run in.

Our defense looked good today, him and Matip cleaned everything up. Please keep playing that Dejan.

Has his good moments then bad moments, unfortunately more bad moments than good ones.

Along with Klavan he was a complete liability today, it might not be a good idea to give him a new contract.

Yeah, I'd keep him as a 3rd choice with Gomez 4th.

One moment yesterday summed him up for me, had space and time to bring down a ball, control it, retain possession, instead he tried to volley/overhead kick it, made a balls of it, gifted Stoke possession and put us straight back under pressure.

If he stays calm in games, he generally has a good game, when he gets excited he thinks he's Cruyff and when nervous he's Titus Bramble mk 2.

Lacks composure , which makes him a liability. Had enough chances but has came up short . Get rid or we carry on witnessing defensive ineptitude .

Wouldn't put Bobby in that bracket myself, he's certainly not an orthodox out and out number 9, so can't really expect him to perform like one every game and hit double figures, I see him as an attacking midfielder so he's going to struggle at times playing the false 9 (striker role), he hasn't got that ruthlessness, greed and eye for goal or natural instincts whether that be intelligence in his runs, his ability to finish etc that top tier strikers have.

You just never feel safe with Lovren, never know what kind of game he's going to have and whether he can be trusted. 

And for those reasons, he most probably shouldn't be a first choice centre-back at Liverpool.  If he has three good games on the bounce then people are hailing him and in all reality we all expect much much more.

Indeed and although Moreno gets labelled as brainless I dont think there is much difference between both Moreno and Lovren for making stupid decisions.

Yep, agree. I like Dejan, he's a wholehearted guy, and a lot of the time him and Matip will do OK, but if we want to seriously challenge for a title, you have to think we'd need to strengthen there.

In saying that, think we've other areas on the pitch that need more urgent attention.

All great Liverpool sides, in the past where built on a solid defence. I am afraid a player like Lovren , would not have made the grade.
