I'm sure Origi can improve his overall game, it's hard to believe he is still only 21.

The last 2 games will have highlighted to Klopp the lack of quality with just a couple of injuries. He mentioned this issue in his post match presser.

I'm sure he will improve,  I really like the lad... Genuinely don't think any club in the league has a better third option up top (which is where I currently see him)

Just didn't think was great today.

The issue for me is we have all the injuries in the same area of the pitch and it's left us woefully short up top, giving us no change from the bench

At least he's scoring. Good on ya Divock mate but can you turn those 1 goal a game into 2 or 3 goals a game please?

We're only talking about x2 injuries, one to a player that doesn't normally get a game. We should be able to cope better

      Three

      Coutinho
      Sturridge
      Ings

Just because whilst they weren't getting a game earlier in the season when all was going well doesn't mean that you don't miss them when they aren't there

Are you saying that our bench wouldn't look better and have better options to change a game like yesterday with Sturridge, Origi and Ings on it? What's the point in having them them if you only need 11 to win the league?

Yesterday at the end of the game even though I didn't think we were great I think 6 or 7  West Ham players either lay down or dropped to their knees, they were fu**ed with how we pulled them across the pitch and made them work.. The point being that f we had the above on the bench and our lads levels are dropping that we bring on those fresh legs to put their already tired ones under even more pressure and try and get a winner.

Take three of Chelsea's front 6 options out or Arsenals or whoever, the result is the same, you can't win games, especially as the season gets further on with the same player week in week out, you need options and currently we don't have them.

Lallana only just back too, Can missing yesterday..

I really like big Div though, I think he's getting better and better, just think he needs to have more influence on the game than simply grabbing a goal, we do need more especially in this type of system. I think he really has kicked on it the last 12 months under Klopp.

Just looked at his goalscoring record. He got 16 in 89 for Lille and yesterday was his 16th for us in 49

He is progressing really nicely. Hopefully this mini-run in Coutinho's absence improves him even more so that he remains first option from the bench and in all probability he could also fill in for Mane in January.

Fair play to Divock, getting little bit of stick and I've poked him for some mixed build up play, but he keeps getting on the scoresheet. Keep it up!

"I don't think [he is injured], no. A little knock and a little bit of pain. We wanted to change Sadio but then Divock was on the floor."- Klopp on Origi.

Seems all good then, especially when he is scoring 1 a match.

Not gonna lie, I'm ptetty excited about Origi.

      Got a feeling he'll go on to become a 20 - 25 goal a season striker.

Well played lad. Keep up the good work!

Just been looking at his record

Last night was his 50th apparence for the Reds (congrats Divvy lad)

Last night was his 17th goal in all comps

When you break it down though he made 10 of those apparences under Brendan Rodgers and didn't score a goal

So since Klopp has come in his improvement is there not only visually as a player but the stats back it up

      Under Klopp

      40 apparences
      17 goals

Of his 50 apparences only 22 have been starts
His goal break down starts to sub are: 12 of his 17 goals when he starts a game 5 as a sub

      Start wise that's
      22 starts 12 goals

      Since Klopp he's becoming a 1 in 2

      Well in Divock

Still some improvement to do in linking up but he's still a kid and that will come but his ceiling is massive

As you indicate admirably mate there is only one reason why the player has tapped in to the skill levels previously unused.

He's scored in 4 consecutive league games but 5 consecutive games in all comps. The record is 11 consecutive league games so he's still a fair bit off yet.

Similar situation occurring as last season when Sturridge was injured with Coutinho this season.

When Studge was out we were all waiting for his return to bring us back to full strength, but then the queation was who would miss out.

Quesion this year is who do we leave out when Coutinho is back. Do we leave out the man who's consistently bagging goals and chipping in with assists?
