Similar situation occurring as last season when Sturridge was injured with Coutinho this season.

When Studge was out we were all waiting for his return to bring us back to full strength, but then the queation was who would miss out.

Quesion this year is who do we leave out when Coutinho is back. Do we leave out the man who's consistently bagging goals and chipping in with assists?

Mane will be heading off to the the African nations cup in just over 3 weeks.

Origi: “The result at Sunderland was disappointing because we could have come out of it with more points. We will analyse what happened.”

      It's called a draw Divock!

Well, its good to see players are disappointed with the result, just goes to see that Jürgen has instilled right mentality into the squad.

      He's 21

Just for perspective Kev Stewart is 23

People talk like he's a senior pro, he's 21, still maturing

Wasn't great tonight, but in truth had little service and actually switched roles four times within the game

Pen was sh*te like, but I wouldn't have given it him myself

Yeah he's 21 and getting plenty of game time not an 18 year old getting a few minutes here and there. He's been to a world cup he should be pushing on not looking less than average against league 2 team

Maybe he has a mentality problem? Always seems up for big important games at club and international level but in the lesser games, he looks a completely different player. He has the opposite problem to most players!

Difficult when there was no quality service from the midfield and the only ball he got was thrown into him with 5 or 6 around him

Look mate I was critical of him when he hit 5 in 5 as I didn't think his all round game was great, I thought it bounced off him a bit too much but your foment suggested he was great 6 months ago and has fallen off a cliff when the truth is he's still raw and learning and a game where he received little service against a team of dogging league 2 pros all up for it like they never have been fire is hardly a game to as whats happened to him

Maybe he has a mentality problem? Always seems up for big important games at club and international level but in the lesser games, he looks a completely different player. He has the opposite problem to most players!

Cause he's a kid himself, in games like tonight people expect him to lead, He's not a leader, he's a kid
Against the bigger teams in in a team surrounded by better players and he can relax and just do his job, with better service and less expectation

He is out of form which is normal for players who are only 21 years old.

Nothing to worry about he will come good.

      As usual, he's been overrated.

That's all that's happened to the lad.

Dont buy this age argument to explain players not making it.

I agree age is a factor but its not the main factor.

Quality is what defines the players. It might take some players years to make the grade but a quality player is a quality player regardless of his age.

I can mention several 17 year old who have made the grade and become great and others who showed prospect and never made it.

Don't use age to defend a bad performance of a player who has defied all odds to make the grade to the 1st team. He's a senior player and if he's good enough to make the team he should be judged based on that performance.

Its different if he was young and inexperienced, but this lad has been playing first team football for almost 4 seasons. that's not a kid anymore.

He had bad performances lately period. It doesn't define his career. Just this moment. If he is quality then he'll prove his worth over time.

He's going through some real bad form in all aspects of his game at the moment. Unable to hold the ball up, unable to take his chances.

He looks weak and easy to disposes and he still looks leggy and raw when when the chance finally comes his way.

Players like that go in and out of form a lot more than your more cultured type players. When he gets 1 he'll probably get a few more in the games after it, but for now it could be quite a while and quite a few missed opportunities before he does get that goal.

I don't rate him any higher than 4th choice, certainly not ahead of Sturridge.

As a more general point I think it would be an idea for Klopp to hire in a striker/attacker consultant, someone to teach the forwards how to better strike the ball to score, the amount of half arsed stabs at goal recently is becoming a real issue and it seems to be afflicting the whole team.

Really out of form, needs to bang one in to get his confidence back. He's a benchwarmer at best at the moment.

Watched that yesterday and it's been in my head since.

      Catchy wee number.

Yeah it's a good little tune alright, much better than just shouting his name I think.

Thought he put in a massive effort, led the line and took his goal well until he tired a bit towards the end which was understandable as he has hardly played recently.

Had a decent game, certainly more end product in that area of the pitch over the last two games than Firmino, in God knows how long...
