He is a out and out number 9 and definitely will never fit Klopps system as a false 9 who presses the way Bob does. But, at this point he is our king of the poachers goal and he seems content to play a role. As we saw last season, he can be a VITAL part of this team.

Probably the next kit I get will have Origi on it. Love this man

I get the live I really do but I think back to the role Macheda played for the mancs when they pipped us to the title on 08/09. He was the difference between the two didn’t sn absolute hero for them but he wasn’t good enough in the long term. I think we all like Origi if we’re safe in the knowledge he isn’t first choice but scopula if injuries and he will be.

If Firmino was injured and out for three months how confident would people feel with Origi as our number 9 for 10-12 games consecutively?

To be honest, he's not my first choice for a direct Firminho replacement due to an injury, but I'm more confident about Origi then I was start of the year. For a young lad not getting many games, he's kept his head down, worked hard and started making an impact when he was coming on. The goals in CL were no fluke, he was getting himself in excellent positions and he looks hungry. I like the attitude.

It's great to keep him on the books as an option off the bench and I'd definitely give him more game time in cup games and "easy" games. We desparately need to rotate top three.

Saying that, I think we need a direct replacement for Studge, someone who can be as good as Studge used to be as well.

That touch with the ball coming over his shoulder was simply sublime.  He will give us a different way of playing and Mo and Sadio may well not be available for the first few games so he is incredibly important to us

Hope that he scores against every team he plays, giving Jürgen Klopp, even more options up front.

Happy to see him back and the impact he had off the bench yesterday. I believe the tweak in tactics helped to make the game more open and let us create a lot of chances but Origi looked pretty sharp holding the ball on left side and gave the defender a lot or trouble. Curious to see if he gets the nod mid-week as our front three (especially Salah) hit a little patch of poor form.

I really think you could argue he was MoTM the other night. His impact completely changed the game. He had more influence in 25 minutes than any of the other 3 had in 80+

Still don't understand why Klopp values him before Shaq. Origi is very meh. Maybe his abilities for headers? He looks meh in tight spaces where Shaq could shine and our games revolves a lot around those tight spaces since basically all our opponents play us defensively - even City.

Won't hear a bad word sad about Saint Divock. Last minute winners against Everton and Newcastle were good enough, but the Barcelona double and the nail in Spurs' coffin elevated him to sainthood.

The only possible criticism I'll hear of him is that he needs to work on his celebrations. Picking the ball up and looking mildly confused is not the way to celebrate a ridiculous last minute winner against the Bluesh*te, although in fairness he was probably just as surprised that he scored as everyone else.

For those who saw the Origi's banner, was it racist? For me, not so much.

I didn’t think it was seen and heard a lot worse amongst some of my black mates playing on the same stereotype.

It's a racist trope about black men so yes I'm afraid it is racist, but I'm not quite sure how it's mocking his manhood as some papers suggested!
