Divock Origi (Liverpool > AC Milan)

Did great while he was on.

Fans in the stadium as usual showing more appreciation of football than some of our resident whingers, giving Divock a standing ovation. He was very good through the middle today. Lovely assist for Mo's goal. Good to still have him as an option.

Yep he played well.

Hopefully the start of some sort of finding of form.

It wasn’t MOTM performance but thought he had a solid game which is easier said than done when you get as inconsistent game time as he does.

He has a target on his back by people who either don’t like him or simply want him to fail so they can say “i told you so”.

Played well, just hope the injury isn't serious.

I’m a big fan of Origi and he didn’t disappoint. Anyone see the Klopp post match interview? He essentially says that he was shocked no one made an offer for him as he feels he’s a sensational striker.

He’s not up to it, of course Klopp wants to get the price for him duh.

yeh heard Klopp's comments about Origi which seems obvious he was available on the transfer market but no serious interest.  Maybe we need to lower the asking price, we've had some good returns from players like 23m for Brewster and 13m for Hoever.  We should have sold Origi and bought a new face. I just feel our valuation on Origi is just not been met some may argue that we should have sold him 18 months ago or maybe after the his great contribution in the champions league.

Never easy to come in to the side “cold” having played not a minute of competitive football this season. Good assist he cramped because he’s not match fit I would like to see him get a run out of 5 games and see what the output is.

Glad we didn't offload him. Always feel like he's a worthy addition to the squad. Will need him and others if we want to win trophies this season.

Did well last night Divock grew into the game. Hopefully his confidence is up as it looks like we will need to call on him this season.

Two good games in the bounce now for Divock.

Really hope he sticks to it and makes me eat my words.

Everyone took a dump on this guy during the summer but in the 2 games he’s played he has a goal and 2 assists. Good for him and hopefully it continues.

I think people’s views on him were justified and the moral high ground posts are just as bad as the people who go out of their way to slate players. He’d had 7 goals in his previous 60 games with some really poor performances too.

Fair play to him for the last 2 performances and hopefully he will be able to deliver these kind of involvements on a much more regular basis when called upon.

It was a rotated Norwich side so we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves yet but you can only play against what’s in front of you but he’s still got a long way to go to prove himself good enough IMO.

But like I said, fair play and hopefully it continues.

1 goal and 2 assists in about 150 mins played. Which gives a goal involvement every 50mins.

That output is obviously unsustainable for anyone even Messi, but it's a great start, and 10 goals in 14 League cup games is an excellent return so hopefully he can keep that going in these types of games.

Haha I wouldn't rule it out to be honest. They did sign Braithwaite and Luuk De Jong after all. Div is far from being a world beater but he's sure as hell a better player than them two donkeys. Fair enough De Jong smashed a load of goals in Holland, but so does Seb Haller and Tadic so that says it all about that league.

De Jong is so poor. I didn't realised they signed him until I watched the Benfica highlights and saw him miss a chance.

I can't believe no one has come in here and commented on that goal!!

Woweee, out of this world Div.....did nothing all game and game up with that...reminds me of The CL Final 





 

I still think Origi is better than many think. He suffers from not gettin serious game time. I would like to  see him gettin 10 x 90min. and how he looks.
