In all seriousness though I do think it was simply a case of they couldn't handle what we were throwing at them, some of our passing play was a joy to behold, especially in the build up to Hendersons goal.

Sterling's pace and Coutinho creativity scared the sh*t out of them.

The build up to the Henderson goal reminded me massively of the way we used to play under Kenny during 90-92.

I love how Hendeson refused to leave and look at him now, he is so important for us, his energy and power are vital to our team and he has a determination to win

Hope that we show this type of goal scoring form in the Premier league again this season, as they are a joy to watch.

No matter what strength Dortmund were at, it's a great way to finish preseason.
Lovren, Manquillo, Can looking good so far. Can't wait to see Lallana and Lazar step up.

Great performance by the boys today. With a cutting edge like Sturridge, our front players can rip open any defence. Manquillo was very good for a 19 year old debut. Johnson will either improve now or be dropped because that lad can clearly replace him. Lovren looked confident - Skrtel looked very limited in possession compared to him.

As long as we buy quality cover for Sturridge and get Moreno in, I think we'll finish top 4 above Arsenal.

I was in the pub with my Sunday league team so didn't really catch a great deal of the game, just the goals really, looking forward to watching the performances of Lovren and Manquillo. They sound like they had really good games.
