He certainly has the pace to play the Bale role. Be interesting to see him, Enrique and Markovic in a race.
Bale is not all about pace. He has excellent technique while shooting.

Reminds me a bit of Riise at his prime.

The Norwegian inexplicably became poor - he wasn't even old when he became a liability, have no idea what happened to him.

But in his prime - nah, we never really replaced him, but Moreno looks a good bet as his true successor.
He himself said his head dropped when he basically had no competition at Liverpool.

Need to spend the week pelting footballs at Moreno. The rest of the defense is so leaky he needs to be able to deal with crosses quicker.

3rd time this season we've conceded on plays he couldn't properly clear the ball out of the box, and in 2 of them we've lost by a 1 goal margin.
It would be unfair to blame only him for those 3 goals but I really wish he would do better than that.

Weird no to see little criticism of Moreno tonight. He again cost us points tonight with poor defending IMO. This time, he loses his man and (bizarrely) turns away on the first ball, enabling the flicked header into the box. Say what you will about the second ball (also sh*t defending), but he should have done a hell of a lot better on that first one.

Cowardly bit of defending at the end there from Moreno turning his back rather than attacking the ball. No wonder Johnson got the nod over him!!

3rd error from him leading to a goal, if he carries on he will overtake Lovren soon.

Moreno is in a different league to Johnson.

Anybody else notice his ridiculous fancy flick that he made a balls off with 3 minutes to go in the middle of the pitch? Was blessed the Ludogarets man was asleep and the ball fell to a red shirt. Fool

Class player just a little young and still finding his way, with the right coacing he can become a great LB but needs to start staying focused and not switching off at the back, he's simlar to what bale started off like at Southampton great speed and power so maybe he could be even used furhter forward. remember the johons as a RM debate maybe Moreno could be a LM player if we ever go 4-4-2

Tried in a attacking role today and unfortunately didn't really work, in fact left us more exposed down that flank than normal.

Moreno isn't really impressing me that much, kind of looking forward to Flanagan's return.

I don't want to see him as a left back or left wing back anymore, either play him Left winger or left midfield in a diamond, that is all.

Was thinking the same, play him left wing and have Enrique tucked in behind him at LB. Could be worth a shot.

So we spent all of that money just to play him out of position.

Maybe we need to mix it up a bit and see where it takes us. Wouldn't hurt trying.

Someone involved in transfers hasn't watch the kid at all enough. Its taken two games to see how useless he is defensively and fullbacks were the position we needed to fix the most from last season IMO.

Either he learns to defend (lost cause given his tackling attempts) or we play him higher up the pitch.

He is utter garbage though and i hope he can find someone to take him next season or January (through miracle).

He's not utter garbage no player who scores a goal like he did against Spurs can be considered utter garbage. He was poor yesterday but so was the whole defence. Moreno will be a quality full back in a couple of seasons I have no doubt about it.

Many players have shown a glimpse of brilliance over the years to go on and disappoint. Technically its obvious he can't defend, his passing is erratic and his positioning is clueless.
