The confidence he had to to burst forward and score, the will power he had to win the ball and then break and the finish, what a finish.

His defending was up to scratch too, made a couple of great challenges and was quick across the ground when needed. Furthermore his hunger to win the ball is what impresses me, if he doesn't get it the first time, he goes for it again straight after.

Superb goal from him and he was just as robust in defense as he was going forward, very impressed with him today, could have a very good player on our hands here as he develops further.

Man what a F***ing goal by Moreno. That whole play, from his initial starting position to winning the ball, driving, and then scoring was 117 yards. F***ing beast!

Goal aside, he looks a pretty legit defender too. Looks like he was well worth the long-drawn out saga to sign him.

Bingo! I said the exact same to my mate. He asked me how Moreno played today because he wasn't able to catch the game and I said he was like Riise but with a far better defensive game.

Superb display from Moreno and all the more so given that he made a costly mistake against City on Monday night. I actually gave him the mom (although that was probably Sterling in truth). Strong, tenacious and very quick. Encouraged to see how positionally sound he was today, really impressive.

I agree it looks like we've got a player on our hands here. Still haven't seen him use his right foot though!

Not surprised at all, watched him couple of times in Sevilia.

Great, seems like we secured the left-back position for years to come, Manquillo looks good too, i hope he will be given confidence by Brendan, let Glen leave, please, we have already 4 good wingbacks in Manquillo, Moreno, Flano and Enrique.

I thought Townsend was supposed to be lightning quick? The geezer just gave up because little Alberto was a dot in the distance within seconds. F***ing beautiful goal.

What a all round performance that was, we've got a player here haven't we! The goal had everything, long may it continue.

We're definitely not doing the spurs , Rodgers has bought well and a right gem in this lad and his mate on the right too .

Too soon to say, but even if he's "only" as good as Riise, I'll be delighted. John used to be one of my favorite players.

Haven't seen a full back of ours perform like that in a long time.

Bargain & that goal will do wonders for his confidence.

The way he left Andros Lionel Richie Townsend for dust is impressive considering Andros isn't a slouch!!

Hope him and Manquillo have wee competition between them to see who can score more goals in the season.
