Happy for Moreno if he can leave and get some playing time and career back on track. Been a model citizen even after seeing a midfielder take his spot.

Spent part of Tuesday at the zoo. Where's the outrage? (Not talking about the tigers, elephants and monkeys).

Was poking fun at how upset some "fans" have been about Mo being in NYC.

      Gini in France..

Bit of R&R helps the process and keeping the mind focused.. better off just going about their personal business as it’s not affected their business on the pitch..

Strange how much abuse he gets. I understand any criticism of him as a player because he's not good enough to play for us anymore and he's made too many critical mistakes that cost us games in the past. But he's also had a few decent games and has been a model professional on the training ground even over the past couple of seasons when he's barely featured. It's also widely reported he is very good for morale of the team and has especially helped the South American lads settle in (Bobby and Fab have both credited him for helping their move into life in Merseyside) - haven't we all benefited from their form?

If we were talking about gobsh*tes like Diouf who dragged the name of the club through the gutter, or genuine wastes of space like Konchesky, I would understand. So I hope people stop giving the lad abuse. He's clearly not Liverpool standards and will move on, I hope he finds a decent gig for himself. I would shake his hand and wish him luck.

      I like the lad.
He's very talented as well, but he's just not a good enough defender.
It's as I've always said; good footballer, bad defender.
If we played on old style 442 with proper wingers, he'd be ideal further up, but we don't, so he's not.
Wish him all the best wherever he goes.

Just read that he will sign with Villarreal.  Good move for him I think.

Thanks for your time as a Red Alberto.  YNWA.

Hadn't realized he was apparently offered a new contract and turned it down to get more playing time somewhere else. Wish him well in Villarreal.

I expect it was probably a case of getting him to sign it so we could recoup some money for him. Well, that’s my guess anyway because we tried to get rid a year ago but there were no takers.

Think that one through. We couldn’t get any offers for him with an upcoming expiring contract so we’re going to offer him a new, lucrative one so we can recoup money for him?

Don’t need to think anything through, it’s hardly rocket science to understand. Because it makes him seem more valuable to us. A year ago teams knew they could wait a year and take him for free. Something that looks like is going to be the case with Timo Werner, was the case with Emre Can and is now the case with Rabiot. All have/were offered new contracts and all were rejected yet there were/are no bids from anyone in the final year.
Its no different to the likes of Suarez and Coutinho signing new contracts 6 months before they left us, means we can gain as much as possible.
Frankfurt activated a clause to make Luka Jovic’ loan move permanent despite knowing it was all but certain he was going to Madrid, they had him as their player for a month or so and then got £60mill for him.

To an extent it’s all just a game, either a club, a player or an agent will play it to maximise their own gain. Perhaps something for you to think about.
