Barcelona: Fifa rejects appeal against transfer ban

A bit F***ing late for us, but I think we all know that and no use crying about it.

      How will this affect them?
Agger is definitely not going there now (if he ever was).

Why would Agger not go there because of this? If you read the article, the ban isn't for this transfer period. If anything, the ban standing might make them want to sign more players this window.

Neymar,  Messi, Suarez. ..oh dear they can't sign new players. I guess they won't want Lambert or Borini then. Pointless transfer ban.

I wonder what the end date is for the CAS appeal. I recall when Chelsea got a transfer ban around the summer of 2009, but the CAS decision wasn't untill february the next year, so Barcelona might be able to delay the ban for another transfer period, regardless of the outcome.

Wow I'm shocked Barca were allowed a whole transfer window before this happened. Not like they made any signings to take advantage of that.

So did we though. And while we sold Suarez, they sold Sanchez and Fabregas. Their net spend is probably only about 10-20 million more than us.

I don't see it as bullying.
I see it as you stating the bleeding obvious or getting things wrong, which happens a lot, and others calling you on it.
It's been this way since your very first post.
You need to learn to recognise that what you consider to be pearls of wisdom are sometimes old news, and sometimes just out and out bollocks.
It's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but equally others are entitled to air their views on your opinions, just as you are on theirs.

No coincidence they have splashed out so much this summer, they probably knew it would get rejected so have splashed out whilst they still can. They had so many areas that needed addressing in the team. They have signed a couple of new keepers; one of which will probably become the next Neuer, a couple of CB's which was massively needed, Ivan Rakitic who was class last season and now have without question the strongest attack going having signed Suarez. I'd expect them to plash out on another defender and another midfielder yet though.

And in acquiring those players with their 'creative' accounting, hopefully fall foul of the FFP regulations and subsequently booted out of the CL. Now that would be karma ;)

Utter farce, all it needs is Sid James, Charles Hawtree & Kenneth Williams.

Uefa found Barca GUILTY due to facts, not one persons word against another, but facts.

How the hell can they complain? They do, are then allowed to flaunt the punishment by doing exactly what they were prohibited to do in the first place.

Doing so the render the coming punishment impotent by stockpiling players.

Suarez or not, Barca have had their ban uplifted for them to purchase the best in form player in the world and making sure RM don't get him, once their best business is done the ban is implemented again.

Whats the purpose of the ban when essentially they have probably purchased the next best player for the next 2-3 years in Suarez.

What an absolute joke this is.  At least stop them in their tracks now.  Why are they allowing them the opportunity to do more business in this window?  They (Barca). should have known that if the appeal fails they would be barred from transfers.

The just way to do it is to forbid them of fielding any players they have bought in the last couple of months.  They would have to loan them out until the ban is lifted.  But at least, at least, stop them in their tracks now that the appeal has failed.

I'm sure that "joke" is probably everywhere.
It would be funny if it wasn't so transparently corrupt,
just like the total ban on all Suarez football activities that weren't transfers.
