Very true. I live in the USA and its the same situation as Manny Ramierz was a few years ago. People either loved or hated 'Manny, being manny' I couldn't stand him but he didn't play for my favorite team. hahaha. I just hate not liking someone on my beloved reds!!!

Its something he does because the pitch is his stage and he is an actor. I am 100% sure that inside he is gleefully giggling, but because he had a little thought to himself 4ish years ago "what if I don't celebrate when I score, that will be something distinctive" (I say 4ish because he celebrated the early goals for City and Inter).
To be honest its no different from Borini's hand bite, or Sturridge's arm wiggle, just an affection he has chosen to look different

when ever he plays Im urging him to score everytime however last nights elation aside, he is still a massive flop and with a bit of luck will be gone by August

When you read his Twitter and things he's genuinely not a bad lad atall, some of the stick he gets (not really from lfc fans) is out of order.
I like the lad, always want an underdog to succeed. Just strikes me as a poor misunderstood soul who needs to be loved. And btw that goal alone at the end of the season may have been worth the £16M

Its not just that (though there is a lot of that involved). If I had to pick one of Borini or Balotelli to go on and score 15 more goals this season for us, I would have to pick Balotelli. The cult of Balotelli is infectious.

Haha - there is something about him which I find inherently charming.
Obviously not worth keeping unless there is a dramatic improvement, but I do like him as a player.

I wouldn't go that far mate if it was a goal that secured us a top 4 place then you could argue he repaid his price but he needs to score a lot more goals to justify that £16 million yet.

The goal wasn't worth 16mil. However, it might be worth the difference between 16mil and what we sell him for. If we win the Europa league, then his goal against Ludogoretz might be worth 16mil

If he scores a few more and works like he did last night from here until seasons end I would actually consider giving him another season.
