How can Assaidi not see he has no future with us? Just go lad!

If he is indeed looking to make the high wages he has with us he will be more likely to want a loan deal back so he can get the best of both (playing time and same wages)

Stoke offered minimum wage, Assaidi wanted £10 an hour. Stoke refused to pay Assaidi's hourly rate...

It might be weird but when I look at our signing of this lad I always think £3m & £20k a week.

£3m which would have seen Brendan sign a player he wanted [Dempsey] and £20k a week which would have seen Brendan sign another player he wanted [Sigurdsson].

Ah well... I suppose, if nothing else, it shows that 'a waste of money' can come in many guises and can be further reaching than just a "small" transfer fee.  >:D

One thing they all have in common, they all failed at the clubs they went to. So not sure it all matters. Don't think any of them would be making a difference for us right now.

Hmm... I'm not sure being a 'failure' at one club means that they would have 'failed' here.

Setting aside, of course, the fact that Brendan wanted both which might lead us to the assumption he saw something he thought worthy. Then again there's a lot of assuming, what ifs and maybes going on so; who knows?

One thing we do know tho'; one thing that doesn't rely on assumption or maybes; one thing which is fact - Assaidi was here and he definitely 'flopped'. He was a waste of good money; money which would have secured players Brendan wanted... of that I'm sure. >:D

I know mate, you never know. Just meant that with our current crop of players, I can't see them having started for us this season.

Cheeky f**ker, gone to Stoke on loan when they are paying the whole of his current wage but couldn't when they wanted him on a full transfer.

Stuck with getting rid of him next summer again then...
