Starting XI: Mignolet, Manquillo, Moreno, Lovren, Sakho, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Sterling, Sturridge, Balotelli
Subs: Jones, Enrique, Toure, Lambert, Coutinho, Can, Markovic

Rodgers' 100th game for LFC today. A win will be his 56th victory, exactly the same as Shankly had after his first 100 games as manager.

Mario Balotelli has been handed an immediate debut for Liverpool as the Reds take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Barclays Premier League today.

The Italy international completed his switch to Anfield from AC Milan on Monday and makes his first appearance from the start at White Hart Lane. Philippe Coutinho drops to the bench.

Brendan Rodgers' selection shows two other changes - Javier Manquillo and Mamadou Sakho replace Glen Johnson and Martin Skrtel respectively.

Full-back Jose Enrique is fit enough to be named among the substitutes.

(Back to business) YNWA Reds, work hard!

      Lets go boys

Best possible line-up, Allen is the only suspect for me.

I would rather have Emre Can or Markovic for me, but the again its an away game so stick with the players u know.

Dont mind Cou dropping to the bench and great to see the two new full backs make the cut

Lets continue from where we left off last season and i see a Debut goal for Super Mario

Would have liked to seen Coutinho given another chance but Jose Allen it is. Expecting big things from him.

Nice to see some attacking quality on the bench at last. Quite a contrast from Moses and Aspas.

Surprised that Lallana isn't on the bench but I'm happy with the Starting 11 and we have a wealth of opportunities on the bench with Markovic and Coutinho.

Potentially our best 11 away from home although Flanagan and Lallana may contest this. Apart from Mario and moreno's fitness it's a very sound 11. Need a draw at least as sours will challenge for top 4 ahead of Everton and manure. Let's do this

That spurs team is not as good as ours. But if we don't turn up they could turn us over.

Balotelli has to score doesn't he..............

Surprising that we can't even fit Lallana on the bench.

That's both good and bad. I do feel bad for him as he's a very good little player, but at the same time it proves our depth.

Pretty much the team/formation [diamond] that I had hoped we would play with the exception of Allen - I'd have Can there for more 'bite' and cover. That said we have plenty of options to change should we need to.

My one fear was our over-reliance, on the tactic of Stevie's passing to wing-backs, leaving us short to the counter - hopefully the diamond will negate that.

      Let's tank these hoors.

It would appear that Emre will be used in place of Gerrard, cup games and his rest days, and or when we are ahead and to come on to close out games.

Spurs midfield has looked impressive so it's probably a good idea to keep the 3 centre-mids in there.

Although I like the individual abilities of the defenders my only concern is that it's a very fresh line up and I wonder how well drilled they are together and in the way that we play.

Been disappointed with Coutinho this season - good to see we now have some options such that we can drop underperforming players.

Really like the team, only one change I would make and that's dropping Allen for a more attack minded player. I don't like that we seem so limited in that choice so far this season.

I believe Lallana will be starting in his place when he's back but at the moment the lack of connection between midfield and attack has been so restrictive for our play. Love the attack, love that Balo is starting straight away and think he will fill his boots today.

Big win for the Reds please, come on lads!!

Lucas, Skrtel, Johnson, Lallana, Suso all not included. That shows our depth or that some of them will be out by tomorrow.

Am I the only one worried about us getting over run in the middle of the park? You to play two up top in this league, I think we managed it last year because both Suarez and Studge would pop up all over the place and both players worked their arses off when we lost the ball, particularly Luis. Can we make it work with Balo instead of Luis? I guess we'll find out but I would have preferred a 4-3-3 for this one.

At least Clint started the match thread!
