      Transfer deadline day September 2014
      Sep 01, 2014 08:45:30 am
The most eventful yet often frustrating day of the transfer window has arrived. It is transfer deadline day, and for many teams the most important day in the window of them all.

It seems as if Rodgers has made most of his signings, to which now we can all sit back, relax and watch Arsenal desperately try to sign a striker.

Big talking point is Falcao to either Man City or Arsenal. This one will be interesting. Get the popcorn out!

There's only one transfer saga this summer.

Where will Falcao go? Race between City, Arsenal and United.

As for Liverpool, I don't expect anyone to arrive but we might get a keeper and a few to leave (Assaidi, Borini and Coates). Possibly Lucas too.

First deadline day I can remember in a long time I'm not gonna be pissed off with our lack of signings because of the excellent work the club did over the Summer. I'll be happy if we only sign a new keeper. Romero hopefully and not an injured over rated Valdes.

Can't believe Man U have managed to get Falcao, unbelievable. The players they have in the attacking third is unreal but I'm still confident we will finish above them.

Not fussed - the loan was always going to be an expensive rehabilitation resort for Falcao. Knee injuries can be pretty grim and its a huge amount of money to spend on someone for one year who may not be even close to the player he was.

That came out of nowhere! Heard they are paying £12 million for the year, I'm just thankful their midfield is a pile of w*nk!

If Falco goes to United after their start to the season, with no Champions League Football, having told us there's absolutely no chance of our signing him, we have a serious image problem that needs looking at because from what I understood, we where willing to pay his wages as well.

We have to accept that for whatever reason "top names" do not seem willing to come to us.  It's a different question whether it's part of our philospophy to buy in or make a star but we in the past 12 months we have missed out on international class players such Willian, Mkhitaryan, Costa and Cavani and on a loan deal for a world class player in Falcao because for whatever reason they have preferred other big clubs over us.

      A) they are having to pay his wages too, b) At that point Madrid was still an option for him, so he turned us down on that basis and c) I'm pretty certain that if we were competing with the clubs in for him now (arse, man u) we'd probably be top pick.

according to Sky Sports the player will just be signing for a season in a deal thought to be worth £20m.

And that a LOT of money for a season
I think this is what they call a panic buy(loan)
Guess he will not play in a defensive role
they will be in the present waters if they dont reinforce their midfield and defence-- And I am happy with that hehe

£5/6 million loan fee for a player like Falcao is actually not that bad. Wages are a significantly problem though. Probably cost just a little less than £20 million.

I'd really like us to respond to this news of Falcao. If we sell on Lucas and Borini, why not bring in a centre mid or defensive mid. I think we are a bit light in that area and could do with some real quality. Allen is improving, Can looks like the next big thing but I only see Gerrard and Hendo as starters at the moment and even then they won't play every game. Go on Brendan, one more please...

£20m for a one year loan? It's shareholders' money. The stock price will crash when NYSE opens later.

      I'll bet you it doesn't crash :P.

Toby Alderweireld on loan to Southampton is a very good deal.

:lmao: How often does a club get laughed at for bringing in Falcao? That's how fu**ed they are.

Their defence consists of Blackett, Evans, Jones and Smalling…yet the genius van Gaal signs Falcao :D

Ok, gap down. I can't see the stock gap up in anticipation of next year's CL spot.

Anyone any idea of a goalkeeper we may go after. Seems to me the only business we have left to do.
