Lucas is great defensively, but I worry that he might forget where he is and do one of his tactical fouls in the box  :f_tongueincheek:

And then his classic post-foul grin.

Good signing for them in Ben Arfa if he gets back to how he was a couple of seasons ago.

Sounds like Arsenal getting Welbeck for £16m. I actually think that's a good buy for Arsenal, they were desperate for someone up front and while he's not a brilliant option they at least have an option now.

With them not signing someone I thought perhaps Wenger was thinking of converting someone else to be a striker as Sonogo is bloody awful at the moment.

So while it's not signing of the summer I do think Arsenal will get a lot more points with Welbeck than without.

12 goals in 76 games wouldn't feel me with much hope, especially for that price.

Fair enough 7KK7 but I think having some threat rather than no threat is a big step up for them. If we'd paid £16m for him I'd be disappointed but in their desperate need I can see the sense in it until Giroud gets back. The real one they should have got was of course Falcao, but trying to compete with £350k a week, well that kind of money is lunacy.

Negredo set for Valencia. Leaves a gap with Jovetic being inconsistent and Aguero injury prone.

Can't see why Utd are spending so much money to reach top 4 and then go helping their chief rival for 4th with their severe striker crisis.

Help is a relative term, when you are talking about Welbeck. A bag of onions could play better.

One word : welback is sh*te

Arsenal fans already getting depressed and hash tagging #wengerout and I can't blame them , they have the money they should be after falcao not chasing someone who can't even finish in front of the goal .

      Thank god we got Balotelli

Defoe would have been a better option IMO, short term loan and by the time he goes back to the MLS Giroud and Walcott would be back playing. I'm just shocked at the prices in and out at United this summer. Kagawa for 6.3mill but Welbeck for 16mill. Luke Shaw around 30mill and 130k a week and Falcao 346k. Along with 60mill  for Di Maria. Just reeks of panic buying/selling at that club. Same with Arsenal panic buying Welbeck

He's better than Sanogo. Arsenal fans would have turned big time on Wenger if they got no one. That would have been prime time comedy viewing.

Completely agree, gooners are possibly fooked if this one doesn't happen. United are fools to do a deal with them. He isn't a bad player, Arsenal spread the goals around so all they really need is a focal point and he will help provide that.

Hull signing Gaston Ramirez on season long loan. Some great business being done by them today.

That and injury concerns and agent demands. There's always several reasons, and its impossible to tell which one is right.
