Markovic needs to start having a pop. It's like he wants to run with the ball into the net.

he reminds me of a young Patrik Berger lets hope he is half as good

I was being kind. I cant recognise our football this season compared to last season what's different.

The two rampaging monsters up front aren't there anymore.

Let him play, more pressure is not needed. Why don't you pick on Sterling for his late errors and not scoring the penalty ??? Im not saying that Sterling should be insulted either!

He needs taking out of the firing line he's at the end of the line just now. Actually feel sorry for him but playing on is doing him no favours

What did he do wrong? There were many great pens scored!

Watched the game at the local, poor performance on the whole, failed to finish the game off. Scrape through after marathon penalty shoot out. Seem to have gone backwards after last season's heroic's but time will tell.

His overall game is shot to pieces just now. Culpable for the first goal, never looked like saving a pen in the shoot out. Flapping at balls he should be catch, just all over the place as usual. When your left back is having nightmare after nightmare you take him out the firing line for a few matches I don't understand why goal keepers are always such a special case

I think I saw something about October. He's still injured.

Exactly, Pellegrini did that with Hart last season, and he came back very focused and improved. However if we have the chance to get Valdes, then lets make it happen.

:lmao:, that was f***in mental,  absolutely made up for young Rossiter great finish and all round performance same for Williams & Suso thought both did fantastically well with loads of bottle in the shootout,
But we certainly don't make it easy for ourselves do we, massive credit to 'Boro' they gave their all and were unlucky in the end,
I'm not going to slate any of our players,  most played well without being flattering,  we got the job done 'Eventually' and that's all that counts,
Draw tomorrow night after Forest bury Spuds,
Hope we are home again, another chance to see Rossiter & Co,

      Well done Lads

Went for Lucas MOTM. Couldn't fault his performance tonight. Lallana and Raheem a close second and third.

Lallana showed he is getting up to speed which is probably the only positive I can think of tonight.

Edit forgot about Suso cameo performance.

Crazy game really, im worried that lallana, sakho, manquillo, sterling, and mignolet played 130 minutes days before the merseyside derby. Coutinho isn't fit, and neither is sturridge. Gotta be a head scratcher.

Got a banging headache, don't want to go through that again!
Best find another club then  ;)

Just arrived in my hotel after watching the game, didn't clearly see what caused their first.  Lallana had a good game, be more in-depth later, need a shower and a beer.

Was great to see Suso come on and not be rooted the the right side. Seemed as if he was roaming and had more control of the game than Markovic.

Anyway, Lallana MOTM for me. Played in a way that was similar to Suarez (no where as good though). One hiccup I have though,  he needs to look up and release the ball quicker instead of dribbling down a blind alley
