We need to support our team at its lowest point much more than when it is at the highest

      YNWA - Liverpool vs Milan ( 2005 )

Anfield ready for our important clash

Starting XI: Mignolet, Moreno, Lovren, Skrtel, Manquillo, Gerrard, Henderson, Lallana, Sterling, Coutinho, Lambert

Subs: Jones, Johnson, Toure, Lucas, Markovic, Balotelli, Borini

Rickie Lambert makes his Barclays Premier League starting debut for Liverpool in this afternoon's clash against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

Brendan Rodgers hands the local lad his first league start as part of three alterations to the side that faced FC Basel during the 1-0 Champions League defeat in Switzerland on Wednesday.

Lambert replaces Mario Balotelli, Adam Lallana is restored to the starting XI in place of Lazar Markovic and Alberto Moreno resumes responsibilities at left-back in place of Jose Enrique.

Dejan Lovren, Martin Skrtel and Javier Manquillo complete the Reds' rearguard, while Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson bolster the midfield with Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho supplementing the attack.

Glen Johnson returns to the Reds' matchday squad for the first time since sustaining a thigh injury against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on August 25. He joins Italian duo Balotelli and Fabio Borini on a strong substitutes' bench for the Reds.

Don't get why Lambert is starting.

      Would of preferred Borini.

Very attack minded line up that.

Interested to see how Rickie does up front.

Guess we'll see how Rickie gets on. Can't say I'm that confident but it is only WBA and despite my lack in confidence of Rickie I still think we'll pull out a win.

Both Rickie and Mario I feel would work better as 2 up top but Brendan is insistent on this 4231. Personally don't see why he's so stubborn with it when it's not exactly getting the best out of the 2 or the 1, perhaps today will be different.

I'm expecting a rocket like start, Brendan will surely fire them up to boiling point after being disappointed with our starts recently. Get an early goal and settle the nerves, who knows we might just let loose some frustration. Whatever happens, come 5 o'clock I expect 3 points to be in the bag and some pressure relieved.

To be honest that's the best possible team and formation he can use until Sturridge is back. Unfortunately Markovic and Balotelli are just not cutting the mustard right now.

I genuinely think we'll win by two clear goals as well. Have faith in this team selected for today.

Yeah, I saw; was just a bit puzzled by the decision to bench him. Interesting to see Johnson on the bench too.

We really should be beating WBA regardless of personnel anyway.

Would be good if that was a diamond line up and Sterling played right up there with Lambert but I doubt that will happen which has me a bit worried about this one now.

Okay squad. Would prefer Mario to have started but even at that I still expect us to win, and not just win but blow this lot out of An field.  It's been a while since we've done that.

Let's use this to make a statement that the Red men will be back after the international break

Put Sterling and Lallana either side of Lambert but a little deeper. Have Coutinho in the no.10 role but allow all three to interchange positions to unsettle the opposition. No more of this man marking malarky

Good to see Lambert start, but If he's asked to roam, He'll be wasted and will have a negative affect on the team. We need him to play more centrally and to be in the box!

Why do commentators, pundits, media and fans keep mentioning Suarez when talking about our form when he wouldn't have been playing anyway? Clowns
