I prefer to think of myself as a person of mature and perspicacious judgement, but boring old fart hits the mark just as well.

Geez I hope the Crowd is up for this one. Better be making a sh*t load of noise well before KO time and hopefully well and truly after the Final whistle. Make sure those rich cu*ts know they're stepping into a cauldron.

Hard game to call. We all know Real Madrid have a cracking team. Its whether or not we can keep it tight at the back and midfield which will be key. Not liking the thought of playing without a recognised striker, regardless of how Balotelli has performed so far. With the atmosphere behind the player, we might be able to get a win. There is no doubt in my mind that we are not playing to half the ability we have. We need the leaders to finally step-up their games. I am looking at the likes of Lovren and Gerrard to do the most of that.

Agree about Lovren, he really does need to step it up tomorrow. He was hyped up as the 'leader at the back' who'll 'organise everything' but I've seen nothing of the sort so far.

2-1 to Madrid not being negative but I'm more realistic , I'm happy with a draw though , I think it's too optimistic to predict that we will win by 2-0 and comparing this squad to the one we had in 2009 who was was much solid a stronger in the midfield and defence as well ,

Madrid have players that can keep the ball very well plus it's not a bonus that bale isn't playing actually Isco is better than him and varane is better defender than Ramos .
The best one to deal with them is to let them have the ball and counter them , because if we go play the ball we will leave spaces behind and that will hurts us .
Also I hope our set kicks defending is on point .

Moreno is young and I don't think he has enough experience to handle big players in such a big night.

He is young but he's got more European experience than Jose having won the Europa League with Savilla last season.  He's also played against Madrid before so I doubt he'll be overawed, more likely he'll be relishing playing.

I would play Moreno ahead of Jose every time against Madrid. It's a no brainer!

Would really like to see Sterling as a False 9.

No Balotelli.. he hasn't proven himself worthy of a start. Wouldn't want to take the risk of Lambert or Borini either, so playing Sterling, Coutinho and Lallana as a front 3 should be the way to go.

Manquillo and Moreno as full backs. Both have experience playing against Real Madrid, so shouldn't be much of a problem in terms of experience tbh. Not sure about CB, but all our CB's are utter sh*t so don't think it'll make much of a difference who BR selects; will probably be Skrtel and Lovren though.

I agree mate.  Let's hope there's nothing serious as to why he didn't play for Spains u21's game last week and that we've recalled Brad Smith from his loan at Swindon.

By no means am I a pessimist ( :f_whistle: :f_whistle: :f_whistle: ) but I can see Real Madrid taking huge advantage of our sloppy defending. I do not think they'll thrash us though.

lets put out a side with loads of pace and skill so no Balotelli for me. Sterling and Couthino have to play they could be devastating together.
Please please please don't play Johnson or Enrique. The two Spanish lads as full backs and we have to drop either Skytrel or Lovren.
      Mig,Moreno,Manquillo,Sakho,Skyrtel,Gerrard,Henderson,Lallana,Allen,Couthino,Sterling.
Flood the midfield with good clever midfield players and let Couthino and Sterling do the damage up front.

Balotelli will start he has a lot of european experience, and will probably play better tmrw than he has done in EPL. Can see him scoring tbh.

I know we are all going on about them being this team of superstars etc

      BUT

Our record vs them in Europe is pretty awesome, so I think THEY will be bricking it to an extent themselves tomorrow, and they will probably be happy with a draw....

it will be really annoying if sundays game was so poor because they had already won the game and they were looking forward to the Real game. When you think just how good we were at Spurs its hard to believe what has happened since then in terms of performance.
As the game gets closer confidence always goes up and our record against them is awesome they really are our bitches.
