So many team selections on here today.
I agree Balo and Johnson should be benched at least.
Lovren Stkrtel doesn't seem to be working but we short on options due to injuries. They likely to start, just hope it's with Manquillo and Moreno.
Stevie should be given a rest or moved forward where he can do more damage. Only prob with dropping him, is where does the leadership come from?
Countinho starting to show some form so should start, While Hendo needs to focus on his task and stop running round like a headless chicken. Think he's trying to do too much due to others around him being so poor. He'll be burnt out before Jan at this rate, never mind Sterling. Who as it happens, looks like our only quality player at the mo.
We will need the hard hats on today, waiting for the bombs to drop in our 6 yard area. Fat head knows we are vulnerable to high balls in the box.
Think our defenders need to concentrate on the flight of the ball, and stop the F***ing wrestling.
Can't really predict a starting 11, due to Brendan's superior knowledge I'm sure Balo and Johnson will start, and I'd never have predicted that from their recent form.
Just need to grind out a win any way we can, and hope things may change when studge gets back.
I've gone for 2:0 to us, but God only knows why !

Would you consider starting Stevie as a striker?

No idea what team he will put out and no idea what the result will be.
He is talking up Balotelli and he definitely will not have a defensive coach.
A good performance and result will go a long way to help the healing process but who wouldn't take a 1-0 win and a sh*t performance

Couldn't take another mediocre or sh*t performance, but the win at the end is always a nice remedy.

Downing is second in the most creative players this season. Just learnt that off btsport.

He's played well from what I've seen.

Always thought he got a harder time of our fans than he deserved at times.

Well he's been better when he left, he was called insipid mostly, maybe he became mean and thought to himself f. this, I'm talented.
      He was underrated.

      Hendo, Can and Allen.

Not dropped, just rested,  he would still make my bench,  I just went for creativity first and foremost.
      And Can needs game time.

Brendan has a huge problem with Balotelli, If he plays him because he must to prove a point then other players are going to become frustrated i.e Lambert.Check out Lamberts last 38 league games compared to Mario's
If he drops Balotelli he may not pick him again its a real problem. Borini,  what is going on there we are desperate to get shut but he just sits on the bench and doesn't get on the pitch.
anyway a good win will make the world a better place.

      Chelsea    8    15    22
      Man City    8    10    17
      Southa    8    14    16
      West Ham    8    4    13
      Liverpool    8    1    13

What we did getting the points tally back off Arsenal last season is comparible this season, I know Chelsea has a great defense and added to their attack. Man City have talent all over the place.
We aren't split away from the front runners, all it takes is a change in form from us, teams slip up, we've slipped up bad this year but look at where we still are.
Sorry mods, if this isn't totally relating to the subject matter, it's all still pre match isn't it?

Back to our league campaign and our bread and butter,
I think a few players need a kick up the jacksey so for that reason I'd switch things around.....

                               Jones
            Manquillo Toure Skrtel Moreno
                       Henderson   Can
                               Coutinho
                 Sterling.                 Lallana
                                  Borini

Bench ; Mignolet, Lovren, Gerrard, Allen
                     Suso, Rossiter, Lambert

Dropped Stevie to rest him, I'm giving Fabio his chance even tho he hasn't got that fear factor but, can we honestly say Mario has either?
Mignolet Johnson Skrtel Balotelli simply not anywhere good enough to wear the shirt right now,

Make no mistakes Hull will be tough as F**k,  fat b***ard Bruce will have them organised and will envisage taking points,

We need a convincing win to bolster confidence, a clean sheet would be a extra bonus,  I expect us to rip this lot apart, but in all honesty I'd settle for a simple 3 points however way it happens.

Never thought I would agree with anyone picking Borini but he is busy and aggressive and we do need that up front.
