Drawing 0-0 to Hull at home isn't good enough.

      Nope, not at all.

Brendan's rightly going to get a hell of a lot of stick for not starting Coutinho. He was brilliant again and was linking up with everyone very well

If we played like we did in the last 30 we would have easily won that one, guess the only positive is our defence kept a clean sheet but after the first 10 minutes we weren't really under any pressure at all.

A better 2nd half esp. when playing with 2 strikers (so this is the way to play when Sturridge  is fit) and especially when Coutinho  came in who for me is an ever starter when fit
can't believe how we did not take one of the clear chances we had

       YNWA

Now off to watch El Classico  and watch Luis ,who starts for Barca, maybe have some regrets in seeing  him playing elewhere

Well that's what you get when you replace Suarez/Sturridge/Agger with Balotelli/Lambert/Lovren and bench our most productive player in Coutinho.

      Fuming with that result

I don't have an "agenda" against Balotelli, I don't think he's been good enough for us and I'm ready to discuss it with anyone who disagrees.

I've actually presented some facts against this whole idea that his best role isn't as a lone striker but unsurprisingly haven't got a single reply to that post.

Not an agenda, but Balo needs to be dropped.

Coutinho was unreal when he came on. Such a quality player. Started the season badly but has been one of our most lively players lately.

and yet he sat on his arse when he could have taken Hull apart another weird selection .

How did Mario not score there :(
Coutinho my MOTM even though played only 30mins.
Deffo better when the subs came on.
Huffed and puffed, but it just didn't run for us when we had the chances.
First half poor, better in 2nd, but still scappy.
It's hard work out there at the moment...

      Not good enough

questions need to be asked about the manager, has Luis Suarez been hiding his shortcomings?

Liverpool supporters have never "settled" for poor performances they will support a team and players that put a shift in they also know when they see a poor team

Aye, have a go a team performance. None of us are happy with that today, but the amount of stick given to individual players is ridiculous. Especially as it is unjustified.

Had Balotelli not been fouled there at the end, and buried his chance... would you be moaning so much about him?

What does Borini need to do to get a crack up front?

How many more games does Balotelli not score before he gets a chance?

We were unlucky not to win in the end. We fought hard to nick a winner.

Replacing a striker like Suarez with two strikers like Balotelli and Lambert is one of the craziest transfer decisions I've ever seen and it's a lack of a quality striker that is f**king up our team.

The sooner Sturridge is back, the quicker we will win matches a lot easier.

It just wasn't gonna happen today.

The team played much better with two strikers upfront.

      Coutinho Sterling and Gerrard WOW

Nobody can say Balotelli is not putting in work in the second half

      Agree.

Expect him to continue his development this season, then next season prove himself to be one of the world's best.

      Then we can sell him.

Different teams, different styles, your stats are useless. With the way we are playing now, he's no good as a lone striker. If that's how Brendan wants to play, Balo should sit. Only a blind man or one with a agenda would see how we played with two strikers today and continue to say that Balotelli is better suited to playing alone (with us).

He doesn't fit our style at all. Instead of bringing in a quality pacy striker as backup for SaS, we opted to sell Suarez and brought in 2 target men instead. Baffling really.

Lambert has done much better than him. Missing chances isn't part of my definition of "very good"

      I agree.

Lambert should always start ahead of Balo, he showed creativity and better hold up play than Balotelli did the entire match. I wonder If Borini or Lallana would've made the difference if they played along side Lambert.

Only + to take away from this game is Coutinho and Lambert, other than that, there's nothing else positive.

How Coutinho isn't starting is nuts.
At least I got what I asked for, our first clean sheet in the league since March.
      Wont go into the rest.

Sorry, but the Gaffer got that one wrong as well

You don't leave your best player on the bench who comes on and by playing only 30 minutes proves why you don't leave your best player on the bench

      F***ing had it

Well said, based on that last 30 minutes... I think had we been playing another striker up top with Mario in the last couple of games he would have got a goal or two.

Surely we must start with 2 in the next match oh and we desperately need to get a player with similar traits to Suarez in January. Could be the most important window in years!

Once he was on his arse the ball rolled right back to his feet before the keeper picked it up, but he was too busy throwing his toys out of the pram to realize
