Suarez omission from Ballon Dòr

As the title says. Last seasons top scorer in European leagues has been omitted from participation.

Seriously. How the f**k is that even possible? I know he's not "ours" anymore, but give credit where it's due. Seriously, the governing bodies of football need to take a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror.

I understand your point, but it's supposed to be about ability. Not saying he should win. After all, Ronaldo also scored 31 league goals, as well as contributing to winning CL. But to be omitted entirely stinks of everything which is bad in football. I imagine poster boys Ronaldo or Messi will win it as usual...

I wouldn't personally worry about this award anymore, it's become a joke of an award and basically ran by Real Madrid. Suarez is no doubt top 3/4 players in the world. An award from a corrupt organiziation like FIFA wont change that view

This exclusion is completely absurd.
Suarez deserves to be at least among the top 10.

Any chances Suarez had of winning went out with that bite. It was ultimately detrimental to both Uruguay and his club team (whether that would have still been Liverpool or now Barcelona). I think he still should have been on the list due to ability, but can see why he got excluded.

Regardless, it was always going to be Ronaldo's this year.

Over the course of the last year (not taking into account the start of this season when he was banned), IMO he was the best around, better than Ronaldo and certainly better than Messi. This years will be going to Ronaldo again and even it it does, it's a disgrace Luis won't be even in with a chance.

League wise, Suarez was better for me, but adding CL into the equation, I would go for Ronaldo as the overall best. Would have placed Suarez 2nd, as for 3rd,  Diego Costa?

Yeah okay, I' inclined to agree about that but if Suarez was playing Champions League too then I think he'd have edged it. Yeah possibly Costa, had a very good season last time round.

Because he scored 10 goals from midfield for a team that came second in the league, captained them for a lot of the year and bossed the African Cup of Nations for the Ivory Coast before lifting the trophy...

He definitely deserves a place on there in my opinion.
