Crystal Palace 3-1 Liverpool: In game and post match fury
      Nov 23, 2014 12:27:38 pm

Starting XI: Mignolet, Manquillo, Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Gerrard, Allen, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, Lambert

Subs: Jones, Toure, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Borini, Markovic.
Brendan Rodgers has made four changes to his Liverpool line-up for today's Barclays Premier League clash against Crystal Palace – with Rickie Lambert to lead the attack at Selhurst Park.

The No.9 is selected for his second start of the season in the division, spearheading the Reds' forward line as they seek to bounce back from three consecutive defeats before the international break.

Elsewhere, Javier Manquillo is introduced to the defence in place of compatriot Alberto Moreno, while Joe Allen and Adam Lallana are named in midfield.

Mario Balotelli is sidelined with a groin injury, while Emre Can and Jordan Henderson - through illness - are the others to drop out from the XI that began the loss to Chelsea last time out.

We need a big performance. YNWA Come Reds, we can do it!

Don't like that team at all but with the injuries and now illness hitting the camp we don't have much choice.  Our attacking 4 will spend more time helping out the midfield instead of creating and scoring and the defense will be their usual shambles.

This could be carnage today

Johno at leftback? F***ing daft that he keeps a place in the side even above someone who's natural position is leftback.

Sick of seeing his name on the team sheet... he must be giving Rodgers a gobble in training.

Bit surprised no Moreno or Can. Jonno has been poor recently, let's hope he picks himself up.
Lallana/Coutinho/Sterling - playing all 3 says he's trying to win, trying to have as many potential goal threats on the pitch from the start, mentality clear.
Risk is that we get caught the other end - difficult balancing act for BR - can't depend on striker to score, so will need the 3 lads named to push on.
Pressure is on. Expect a tough game. Hoping we can come out the other side with 3 pts. COYR!!!

Brendan in predictable line up sensation!

No Can or Lucas so Stevie holding again then and Glen Johnson starts with appears Rickie up top alone. Baffling!

Don't like the line up, would have preferred to have seen 2 up top and a better midfield lineup. In saying that, whether we play poor or good, I don't care, we just need a win today to move closer to top 4 and boost morale.

A win is all that matters today.

Dodgy starting 11. Not mad about Allen getting a start. Big job to fill Hendos shoes.

Should have enough to smash these.

      Hallelujah!!!

Ok dropping Gerrard wasn't really an option for Brendan we all know that but at least he's changed the team, that's a plus for the boss from me already.

That's the positive, the negative will be if that's Lambert playing up top on his own, he is a different type of target man that needs runners in close and moving off him. If we play with wide players staying wide we're going to struggle again.

Lovren playing again instead of Toure, clearly picking the form player, disappointed in that but think Brendan will stick with Lovren come rain or shine again that's disappointing.

Huge game for Brendan this as our rivals all pretty much won yesterday, we can't really even afford a draw, only a win will do. Bring home the 3 points and we can breath a sigh of relief but pressure is massive right now.

Famous last words and all that but... I like the look of that line-up in attack.

Lambert and Sterling in a two or Lambert, Lallana & Sterling in a three - either way, me likey.  ;D

Disappointed that there's no Moreno, Toure or Lucas. Frustrating that Can is ill as well but can't do much about that.

Like the fact that Coutinho and Lallana have finally made it into the starting eleven together, if they link up well along with Sterling we should win this.
