Yup Kilbane and Neville are going at lengths to highlight how amazing Palace were. Not highlighting how utterly hopeless we were yet.

Nail on the head by Neville. A manager lives and dies by the signings he makes and his signings have not been good enough. He also thinks he should be given time to try turn things around.

To be fair, he's a Manc, we said the same about Moyes!

Gaffer needs to eat some humble pie and get on the phone to Carra. I'm only half joking too.

The club need players who will run through brick walls and not one of them on the pitch today have the mental fortitude to do it (Lucas aside). Strange when one of the things the Gaffer mentioned was players coming to Liverpool need to have the right mentality.

Get Carra in and make him assistant coach because he knows the club, the city, the fans, the culture, the LFC mindset better than anyone at that club bar one person (and that person ain't Colin Pascoe). Get him on the coaching staff before we find ourselves in a real relegation dog fight. Screw it, give Carra the captain's armband whilst you're at it; he won't do any worse and at least he'll put his foot in where it matters.

Stuff it, I'm off to bed to dream about a team of Carraghers

12 for 18 against  says it all really. just one shot on target today. the more you look these stats the more depressing it gets.

I'm actually an optimistic person but most of the stats for even just shots on target or getting chances created in the opposition half is so low, it must be worse than even Roy Hodgson, I haven't looked that up, it's a guess.

Only got to see the highlights on MOTD so can't really comment on how we played but the situation is starting to get worrying.

We lost 3-1 to Palace, had one shot on target, 88 MINS WITHOUT A SHOT ON TARGET! I wouldn't worry too much about missing the game mate.... just thank your lucky stars.

Credit for having the courage to still watch M.O.T.D.

something like 8 shots in the last 4 games. Maybe someone has put something in the water at melwood.

Maybe if I also add that our defense was worse than our attack it may make things clearer.

For me, the hardest thing to take is this.

Last season, we showed progress. We showed the good old days, we showed we could play football. We had hope.

This season, well, the total opposite.

I have never ever given up on this club, but not one match this season has given me belief we can continue where we left off. We are not even a shadow of last season, we are absolutely dire. I never watched the palace match, I had no desire to, I just knew we would lose.

And please understand, I have never given up on this club. However, if we sign a bunch of players who have no desire to put in the effort, then the same goes for me. I have no desire to support them.

I have seen many seasons go by, even in the H&G years where the players upped their performance. NOT ONCE this season has this sorry lot done that.

If we continue at the rate we are, we will be fighting relegation. And god help us if that happens, because who in the team will give a sh*t?

Exactly mate. I think our defense is the one thing that makes me wonder about backing Brendan. I don't think he knows how to fix the problem of leaking goals like a sieve, maybe someone else would ?

      I'm not so sure Saint.

One thing the Madrid game showed me was he can select a side with a balanced midfield in front of a pretty solid looking back four. I know we didn't have much in attack but it was away in the Bernabau and my most disappointing time this season has been directly after that game when it was clear he didn't drop players but was using it as a tactic to rest his 'first team' for the Chelsea game and we all know how that worked out.

I think we do have the players to make us play more solidly and Brendan can set a team up to play less open and more pragmatic but I think he has an obsession with certain players and it may well be his downfall.
