Vorm is a good keeper, 31 (almost goal keepers prime), sitting on the Spurs bench. Has worked with Rodgers before. Knows the system Rodgers wants to play.

Seems an ideal solution.

He had perhaps one outstanding season but, then for some reason seemed to fade in to obscurity.

Personally, I'd rather they went for someone like David Marshall.

Always liked Guzan. Whether he can compete at a high level for LFC would be interesting. But he wouldn't be too expensive and might not be a bad shout.

I like him, his distribution is very good, he's just got a mistake in him though, not David James level, but it's there.

The reality is those two are neck-and-neck for the title of worst starting keeper we've had in the last 50 years.

James thought he had it in the bag but Mignolet is cutting into his lead.

I always liked Guzan, I think he's a good keeper, he's got experience in PL and internationally as well. I wouldn't midn someone with a higher profile though. It's been a while since we had a top keeper. Baldy and Friedel were probably our only decent, reliable keepers of the past 15 years. Kirkland had so much promise but just buckled under the red t shirt, as did Carson.

Haha, Dudek will forever be a hero. As for a consistently reliable keeper? No way, he was almost as error prone as James...ok maybe not quite but he had his moments. Crosses...oh his handling of crosses....

Yea I think you're right actually, he had an error prone few months, people got annoyed and his confidence went to pieces and things got out of hand. I still think he was a good keeper though, we had a terrible defence at the time and I think he was much more composed than a lot of the keepers we've had since. Dudek had a better games/goals conceeded ratio...but then again, Dudek had the Hyppipa/Henchoze, followed by Hyppia/Carra duos in front of him.

Anyway, Guzan would be good, I think we could do better.

He is a great keeper. Don't think it's going to happen now, he just signed an extension until june 2018 last month.

He's a good keeper and only 22 years old. He can be very good

What we need more than a new keeper is a top notch GK coach, it can't be a coincidence that every single keeper we've had has become worse under the tutelage of whatever assclown we currently have doing the job.
i still think Migs is a very good keeper and under some good coaching would become top flight but some competition for him would still be good to have.

I'm not one to lavish praise over an Aussie for the sake of it but Matt Ryan is the real deal. His distribution is absolutely fantastic and is a terrific shot stopper.

Definitely an upgrade on either keeper we have right now and will be moving on to bigger things very soon. Was heavily linked to Real Madrid before this season started.

Matty Ryan would be great. He's started to displace the Dortmund keeper Langerak in the national side and won an award for being the best keeper in an admittedly weak Belgian league last year. The links are pretty solid too, but they say its one for the summer.
