Moreno's defending still needs work, but I'd have played Lallana and Can, especially for a bit of strength in the midfield. I can see Allen getting bullied today.
I still rate him as a better defender than the carthorses that are Enrique and Johnson at LB tbh.

Feel for Can and Lallana. Don't know what they have to do to get a start.

Who would you have them in ahead on current form?

Either play better or write an article supporting Brendan..... all depends on your belief system.

They will all have a red shirt on today, lets wait till after the game starts before we pull them to pieces.

or after the game ends perhaps?....

Rodgers being brave here. Enrique, bar his last game, has always been solid defensively. Johnson, albeit horrendous offers more seniority than Moreno and Manquillo. Time for steady minds.

So happy to see Gerrard dropped, dont like saying it but HOPEFULLY we have seen the last of him as a DM. 60+ bring him on for Coutinho at tip.

Big game. No reason why we cant win this one. Get 2 goals and solidify a lead and stoke will ease off. They will always taste blood until we peal away.
Enrique has looked really off the pace and gets skinned far too easily imo.

Close to 100m players sitting on the bench. If only we had brought one world class player to improve the first XI!

Also, not gonna lie, but this does look a very ordinary team apart from Sterling and Couts.

I think we will all agree that none of the team or subs have drenched themselves in glory lately and that none outright deserve a start. Hopefully Rodgers has seen something in training this week from this starting 11.

Time to turn the corner, 5 points off 4th... 8th points will be too much to claw back. Lets do this.

Lallana for Sterling. That boy needs some rest, Can for Allen is obvious. The main reason we brought all these players is to rotate. If we are not, questions should be asked why we didn't invest on world class players instead of bulking up the squad.

Na mate, again last game aside which he was SHOCKING in, he is always really hard to beat. Positionally good, maybe lacking a yard or 2 but puts in a shift and is tough to beat.

Allen was arguably our best player midweek. Everyone complains about BR dropping after good performances.... unless its not a "fans preferred player"?

Sterling was out main threat too. He does need a rest. Again Lallana hasnt done anything to claim a 1st place yet.

He will come good. This is what squad depth is about. Not everyone will be happy with the selection because we will have an apparently strong bench.... when all play to their abilities, not on current form.

I hope the support in the ground's better than it is on the boards. F*cks sake the game hasn't even started yet and people already putting the boot in.

Johnson, Lucas and Allen in the same team!!!

Whom the Gods wish  to destroy, they first make mad.

If we lose this, say goodbye to Rodgers.

Absolutely diabolical team if you ask me but we really need to forget about it and get behind our men for the next 90 minutes, they need it more now than ever before.

      COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!!
