They say at Barca that if Busquets has a bad game Barca lose. Now this can be interpreted many ways,

The DM position is a liablity
Busquets is essential to set up
      etc

Those saying Lucas was average and Stevie had a blinder -> stevie > lucas, are missing part of the analysis.
Did Lucas free Stevie up? Is Stevie not suited to the position? What was the relationship between Lucas and Stevie's roles on the pitch?

If Lucas gets bypassed because of 'tired legs' is that because the players in front aren't doing there jobs. Busquets no doubt had an easier job when Xavi, Iniesta and Messi were playing keep ball and dragging the opposition into a position where there breaks out of defence were disjointed and uncoordinated.

Lucas at his best, intercepts, probes the ball forward or keeps the ball. He is the best of our players at doing this but he is not a 1 man team nor part of a 4 4 2 all action midfield.

Of course this analysis applies to Stevie in this role as well, except Stevie was never playing DM he was playing QB and it was not working.

F**k knows! It has happened all f**king season! Ludogorets away was embarassing! Stoke at weekend became desperate and so too yesterday it was a struggle to tell who had the man advantage! In dopping deep into our box, we  just invite pressure and we become like sitting ducks! It is not how you protect a lead!

Becasue when Joe Allen runs on the pitch last night to relay instructions from BR he mouths "shut up shop" to the rest of the lads.

I don't know why that would be the case when we were up against ten men and a poor side in general, when you take into consideration also how poor and shaky our defense has been.

You would be surprised how many managers do this. Even Mourinho brings on Mikel late on games for that reason - to shut up shop. Occasionally it has backfired on them (last season) and a win turns into a draw. It doesnt matter what the managers style of football is, it is smart to get more defensive.

I am aware of quality defensive teams shutting up shop. Mourinho'a teams are great at this but I question why Rodgers would give the instruction with such a shaky defense and having an extra man on the field.

Some people need to make up their mind what they want, batter the opposition with one man upfront, or to protect a lead to see a game home. If it's the latter, they shouldn't really rant when that's what we do.

The point in Sofia was vital. The three points against Stoke were from a brilliant header and two great saves. The win at Leicester was a rare win after coming from behind, and fairly comfortable tbh.

As for the ref, he was the same one who went to our game at City last season with 20/20 vision and finished it needing an appointment at Specsavers. Enough said.

Im neither a Rogers lover or hater but in December now and take the Spurs game out we havent played well once. That is massive worry , I would rather have us playing well missing chances and getting beat but we are not and that is why something has gone wrong since last season and for me he has until Summer and think he will go
