Quite literally a game of two halves. Big improvement in the second half. As important as it was for us to keep a clean sheet and play to the very end against Stoke at the weekend it was equally important for us to fight back from a goal down and put them to the sword.

Take confidence from this and move forward to Sunderland. We can and we will win!

Not going to get carried away with a win against 10 men bottom of table when they really should have been leading in that first half.

2 wins on the bounce and back in the top half is at least positive but I haven't gained much confidence watching us.

Migs - Has to be dropped now, but wont be. He could have given away 2 and our confidence at the back collapsed once fu**ed up.
Manquillo - Signs aren't looking good for him either at the moment, getting pulled at half time there doubt he'll be starting soon.
Skrtel - He's a mess, we've nobody to replace him.
Toure - Our best defender again.
Johnson - Weak, got exposed on numerous occasions but the couldn't take advantage.
Lucas - Covered and pressed really well in the first half, was strong again in the 2nd and must continue to keep his place.
Sterling - Poor first half, better in the 2nd but really didn't have much support. Lovely back-heel for Hendo to tap in.
Hendo - Apart from his goal was pretty invisible, favourite to get his collar felt out of our midfield.
Lallana - Great finish and was one of our only promising players in the first half.
Gerrard - Will win MotM, was a good finish and probably should have had a pen (on 2nd look it wasn't as clear as it looked on 1st).
Lambert - Does well when he can be involved but he's so painfully slow it just isn't often and if it's on a break it's hard to watch.

3 points was the only thing that truly mattered though and we have them, pretty much feel thank F**k for that.

Not a classy performance, but certainly a gritty one. Great stuff from everyone (bar Migs again!)...

Oh, and just the small matter of a MotM performance from that man under fire, Stevie Gerrard. I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat.

On a sour note, the ref was shocking. Considering how poor he was, actually surprised he produced the red card for foul on Rickie. He let Leicester foul Raheem all night and never stuck up for him.

Fun fact : Liverpool this season in all comps with Lucas: WWLWWLWDWW (7W, 1D, 2L) Without: LWLDLWLDLLL (2W, 2D, 7L)

Aye and one of those losses was away at Madrid, can forgive that for most people :)

Lucas - big well done from me. Sterling slowly but surely coming back to his best, and Gerrard showing why he should NOT be playing in defensive midfield.

Still have nightmares about Skrtel - sooner he is sold the better.

Sterling is amazing. He's so young but capable of being a handful to any defense even when he's not at the top of his game. This is the mark of a truly great player.

Well that's a nice positive send off for me.  Gotta go pack for 5 days away from home for work but after a bottle of wine I'm bound to forget something!!

Performance doesn't matter at this stage, 3 points is all that counts and we got that, again.  2 wins on the bounce, even though we don't really move up the table much, it'll help with the confidence.

As bad as he's been playing, Lovren is streets ahead of Skrtel.

Not aimed at you luke, but some on here seem to like to give Skrtel the benefit of the doubt just because he's a Rafa signing.

He's quite simply the worst player at this club - a total clusterfuck.

Now that would be something to make you think, he gave nothing regarding Raheem if not against
Gerrard moved to an advanced role and we were better, even if it was not his best game ever, Lucas to keep his place for me

Agree he was strangely selective in his decisions on Raheem.

Admittedly, I've been out of the loop for a few weeks here, but on today's evidence Kolo and Lucas need to keep their spots.

It's clear to me it's either Lovren OR Skrtel to partner someone else. Certainly not the two together. Be interesting to see what occurs when Sakho returns...

Lee Mason what a Bell End how many fouls was that on Raheem.

Great character to come back from a goal down.

Lucas a one man defensive shield with virtually zero support from midfield and a back 4 camped on our 18 yard line no wonder we still looked nervous.

Raheem easily our best player out there.
