Pleased with the win. I was also pleased with some other tactical/selection points:

-That Kolo is keeping his place. He is there on merit. I've always rated him as a defender. (He got slaughtered last season for the odd mistake but he is still a really useful member of our squad IMO).

-That Lucas is in being played in DM - IMO a selection that should have been made months ago in that position rather than Stevie.

-That Gerrard is playing further forward where he can influence things more. Super Stevie is still one of best attacking players. I never was a fan of wasting him in the DM role, when we had other specialists for that position. I hope that tactic is now dropped for good.

-That Lambert is getting a run of games (though in fairness there aren't many other options up there right now) ;D

Come on you Redmen. Three more against the Black Cats please.

It's clear to me it's either Lovren OR Skrtel to partner someone else. Certainly not the two together. Be interesting to see what occurs when Sakho returns...

I wouldn't have Skrtel anywhere near the first team.

Great reactive player but ask him to be proactive and anticipate play - he is completely lost hence why he camps out in the penalty box, no wonder we are always under pressure defensively.

Impossible playing a high line with Skrtel and Johnson in the same line up.

Proud of the lads after the last two games, saw a side to us that we haven't seen this season, really battled for the points and the lads stood up after a lot of criticism.

Well done Redmen and well done Boss, exactly the response and fight we've been wanting to see, let's kick on now lads!

      2 points.

Lucas should be our DM & Gerrard as further up the pitch as possible.

Kolo cements his place in the back 4 line up.

Has Rodgers been reading the haters post on the forum because he's done exactly as some were crying out for ;)

3 expected points, got them,we move on.

It wasn't pretty at times, in fact it was bloody shaky BUT two wins on the bounce and three decent results on the spin has us on an upward curve. If the lads can win the next two against Sunderland and Basle we will truly be up and running again. I still can't get used to seeing us punt the ball up field as we saw on numerous occasions but now is the time to be pragmatic, dig in, find another way to win and get to that transfer window still in the hunt for a Top4 position and hopefully still in the Champions League itself.

Wonder if Sterling's been banging Mason's daughter...

Some of those decisions I reckon he must've shagged Masons entire family.

Not pretty as many have allready said but 2 wins on the bounce now and a push in to the top half of the table.

Hopefully the momentum will start to build slowly.

I can only say, a relief to win tonight, thought Skertel outstanding in defence, but give Man of match to Stevie for  outstanding performance.

Made up for us and Stevie. Glad he scored and put Sterling through; shows what he can do further forward. His age is no problem its just the position he was playing. Made up for Lucas and Kolo and Lambert getting rewarded for pulling us out of it. Something has to be done about our panicking around at the back. Other teams are sensing our complete vulnerability. At the moment Beckenbauer would look crap in our defence.

Mignolet HAS to be dropped. If Cambiasso had scored after receiving the ball from Migs, I'm not so sure we'd have got the same result. I'm all for giving Brad Jones a chance. He can't be any worse...

Then get a new 'keeper in January. Petr Cech would do nicely...

Lucas MOTM for me. Superb. Sterling's second half was great, too.

Lambert in the side grafting gets everyone involved.

Stevie G…i'll never stop loving you. Sexy b***ard. I'd still rather 19 games from him up front than 38 where Lucas played.

First half was poor and we were lucky to go in level. Not because Leicester actually twatted us but because we didn't look dangerous. But a very good finish from Lallana, with his only decent involvement, got us all square. Second half was much improved.

Mignolet looked yet again like he was completely out of his depth at Liverpool. Brad Jones must be F***ing sh*t in training to not even get the occasional nod.

Manquillo coming in for the usual stick - though the majority of it is his attacking play. Didn't think he was anywhere near as bad as people made out.

Skrtel made Bjorn Tore Kvarme look like Sami Hyypia in the first half. Second half he was much more solid.

Toure was a little shaky first half but quickly grew into the game. Still don't feel comfortable with him in the team but this year, he's been better than Lovren.

Johnson was poor first half, worst second half. Their winger had him in knots at times in the second half. (also lost the ball for their goal up the pitch and didn't get back)

Lucas is obviously being praised by the usual suspects on here. He was alright. Nothing special. F***ing disaster for their goal by turning his back and being walked past. Numerous fouls (including Vardy's dive). Typical Lucas game really. Did alright but because it's Lucas, on here an alright performance from him is as good as Graeme Souness in his prime.

Henderson was totally oblivious first half, forgot he was playing. Second he showed his qualities. Got around the pitch, some good balls forward for a change and getting on the score sheet. Basically what a central midfielder should be doing.

Gerrard was man of the match by a mile. Influenced everything we did well today. Scored, should of had a penalty, took up the space on the left wing to get the ball across for the third. Chased down well. Picked up a silly booking though that probably put us under more pressure than we were had he not made the tackle.

Sterling was probably as good as he has been in a Liverpool shirt since early September. Pity Lee Mason has got a problem with him because Raheem was kicked to kingdom come tonight and given nothing. Maybe one of his 14 kids is to Mason's missus or something.

Lallana scored a very good goal but done F**k all else. Got booked because he tried to be clever very close to our goal and lost it (again). Got winded because he tried to be too clever rather than play the simple pass to the player in the space he'd made and then he lost the ball (again). And finally got taken off.

Lambert was very poor first half but thought he came into his own second. Also noticed the midfielders prepared to run on beyond him where they aren't with Balotelli.

Allen was useless when he came on but that's expected. The one chance he had to shine he passes the ball behind Lambert (who under hit his pass to Gerrard) and we lose all momentum in attack.

Lovren came on and we didn't concede. Not bad for 20 million.

Under pressure, back off, regroup, and come back as a team.

Not a great performance but 3 points is all that matters even against 10 men bottom of the table Leicester.
Bit of a slow/sloppy start, point proven with the goal and the error from Mignolet a few minutes earlier could have meant us being 2-0 down.
But fair play to the players carried on fighting and were alot better in the 2nd half.
I thought Johnson played really well today, can only think of one time (start of 2nd half) where he played a poor pass straight to Leicester player, but everytime he got forward seemed to make the right decision more often than not, something which would have seemed a miracle a couple of weeks back.

Gerrard just needs to be utilized the same way City do with Lampard. Definitely better getting into them advanced positions, obviously doesn't have to start everygame, but what a player to bring on if you're chasing a game towards the end, not only great to create and score chances but for the motivation of the players.
