I'm not on about the Main Stand at all, hospitality packages cost a lot more than £9. The fans who had their tickets cancelled should be reimbursed in full, and offered a hospitality ticket for a game of their choice this season. The way they were dismissed with a half hearted apology is unacceptable. It's not their fault.

When UEFA and FIFA are considering venues for major championships and cup finals, even the super cup final, they prioritise access and infrastructure over atmosphere. The stadium doesn't have a screen in it, the Kenny Dalglish and Kop Grandstands haven't seen a lick of paint in 30 years, and some blocks such as KG, have severely restricted views. Compared to other ones, it doesn't have parking facilities, it doesn't have a rail link to the city centre, it's not near an airport, the bus service outside the stadium is notoriously inadequate and unreliable after games, and there's usually a fair amount of walking involved to/from the ground.

Now we fans put up with it because it's home, but UEFA don't. Other stadiums have some or all of those features available, so they get priority for these games. Hence why we were ignored for a structure that hasn't even been built.

In regards to Fifa and Uefa, it's all to do with the size of the pitch

Not a chance as they have gone into administration. All the issues are to do with the initial contractor

Also the Standard Chartered logos on the SKD stand seem altered too.

Imagine a ton of internal work on the concourse now under way along with the massive list of snags. Good to see all the seating in though!

Rumour has it 31st Jan for the Chelsea game.

After having united and arsenal tickets cancelled I was feeling very pessimistic about it being finished this season but this latest update has my hopes up again.

If the fa cup 3rd round is an away game there's practically a full month with no interruptions to get the internals done and the safety certificates sorted

The big gap between Newcastle and Chelsea games is an ideal time to get ballots done for 2nd half of the season too as there is should be more certainty about the completion date

ok, to me not totally clear why the club expands the stand of the away fans' stand instead of the stand of its own fans or Dalglish-Stand.

Are there supporters who wish a Kop expansion?

If correct, we could play 13 home games before the 9th march.
That's a possible league cup semi, FA cup 3rd and 4th round and last 16 of the Europa as the 1st leg of this is due to be played on the 7th march.
I'm assuming we win the group and skip the play off round.
Hopefully it's earlier than this
