Are the dressing rooms etc.. going to be totally ripped out and changed or is the interior of the older section going to remain much the same down near the tunnel?

I'm not sure where you got this information from, but a link would be appreciated.

I know a box in the Centinery Stand was around £10k a few years ago.

If fools want to pay that then it is no skin off my nose. I am confident that I will never see My Team play live again due to a number of issues, all of the commercial, but that is for another thread.

I wonder who will have the bricks. I'd have liked to see a facade built with them. And a Villa park/Ibrox style mosaic with Liverpool football club est 1892 etc. And a shield with real torches each side.

I also think an opport has been missed with the new roof. Stage A had a roof like the old Kop. But the new one just looks like a weirder version of the new Kop. In fairness, the 90s architecture isnt exactly "Anfield like". Its just functional stuff and there was a feeling it was only built as a stop gap/compromise for if the club were ever able to do sthg more ambitious.

For instance Parry said "I dont think would make sense to keep any of Anfield if we moved. Its fairly standard 90s architecture. All the historic parts have gone".

PS maybe the look will make more sense if/when 3 or so sides of the ground are rebuilt.

The new facade design for the main stand reminds me of a modern take of Archibald Leitch's architecture. He helped design the original Anfield, including that amazing facade at Ibrox.

I think its really sad that so much of Leitch's (and similar architects) work was destroyed, without even a facade remaining. Its almost like the traditional game is being airbrushed out of history with some sort of "football never existed before Sky and all seat stadia and middle class fans" being the concept hurled at us all.

I think that if they wanted to remain at Anfield, something more Leitch-like should have been done.
By that I mean lattice-work balustrades, maybe even a gable on the roof like the old Anfield. And much more detailing on the facade at the stand back. I'd include the columns like the back of the old Kop, those old lattice design windows on it. And I'd have the roof similar to the old Kop (as was done in Stage A for the new main stand). But with more light allowed in.

There are actually some good ideas with the new main. But the roof looks a bit weird. Maybe it wll look better when other stands are done.

I'm really baffled by all this nod to the 90s Anfield in the plans. After all, the 90s was when we started turning sh*t.

Its also a shame that Americans 2.0 have to resort to grotesque gimmicks like "The Liverpool Football Club". Whatever happened to quality architecture celebrating our old values and glorious past? Nope. They'd rather have some media man fuckwit in Boston deciding the word "The" is cool. Even tho he's never been to Liverpool in his life...

Is there any mention as to what these changes might mean to the acoustics? I know they were incorporated into the designs of the new stadium.

Yes, as there is more corporate spaces the noise level will be reduced. They are planning to install noise reduction speakers so the suits can BBM each other.

Seriously though, I have no idea.
